i was reading your tribute to nikki, i am just starting down my road of sorrow ten days ago.more like a nitemare.without warning my border collie bonnie was sick we rushed her to the vet,on fri, sat they called to say that i need to let her go ,i rushed to be with her we spent time together before ,during and after her passing to rain bow bridge .they had to catch me as i was starting to collapse,i am devastated beyond words.its so surreal, i felt a piece had died as i let her go.its been 10 days, the pain is no different than the day she passed.im lost,i had her for 12 years,i had her creamated and got her a beautiful urn and keep her close to me ,i am glad for rainbow bridge,it gives me a little solice in these black days ,i cant function at one point ,i wondered if i was even alive.my sole mate. i am sorry for your loss. this pain that we share is beyond words

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel Nikki, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember the way your baby's tender love touched your life, be the ones that surround you this Holiday Season. My prayer for each of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us this Holiday season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it most.... And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved furbaby bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your fur-angel would want for you this year ... With best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty, DJ & Patches' mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

Deanne...I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful girl. I just lost my beloved Nikko on Mom's Day this yr. He was only 10 & the grief is still so fresh I can't take it. I only want him back too. I love knowing someone else feels as I do. She is a glorious girl & maybe she is off running with Nikko & they can be free of pain & whole again.

What a BEAUTIFUL baby!!! Nikki is stunning!! I hope, wish and pray for you peace and happiness. I pray the loving, thoughtful, beautiful and never fading memories you have of Nikki can in some way and in time bring you comfort and joy. The many gifts she gave you will someday, within your own time, begin to comfort you. Know that you are not alone. Like you I lost my beloved Husky Aiko, only seven months ago and the loss is still very real and very raw, as is yours. Perhaps Nikki and Aiko have become fast friends and are now playing near that bridge keeping an ever watchful, ever loving eye on us!!! I am here if I can be of help. Because of Aiko & Nikki's gifts of unconditional love, I can now send you an abundance of love to help with your healing!!! May peace, love and sunshine begin to help heal your heart. If you would like to see Nikki's new friend you can visit Aiko at: https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/AIKO002/Resident.htm He would LOVE to see you!!!! Peace

Deanne, I know how devastated you must be. We, who are "dog people" know the true love and devotion that we get from our babies, and also know the pain when losing them. It's not easy. When I had to put my Tippy to sleep last year, all the way to the vet, I talked to her about the good life she had and the things we did together. You will have heart ache for a long time, but you also know in your heart that if they are no longer hurting, it was the right thing to do. Nikki knows that and she wouldn't want you to be so sad. She will always be a part of you and that is the gift she has given to you.

Deanne- Im so sorry to hear about Nikki, I know she meant the world to you! I feel the pain you are in right now, we had to put my Baileybo down at the end of Jan. and it was the hardest thing to do, but now I know she is in a better place. Things are going to be very hard for some time, but I promise it will get better. Stay strong! Bailey and Nikki finally get to play together again, its been years since they have been able to be together! If you need anything or just want to chat please call me, you know Im always here for you. Love ya!

Hi Hon..... I'm so sorry about Nikki. She was your best friend for a long time and I know how much you loved her and how she was there for the most important parts of your life. Try and remember as hard as it may be that time heals the heart and someday you will be able to look at the wonderful memories without such heartbreak. Love ya.

Deanne~ We are so, so sorry for your loss. We are never ready for our beloved pets to leave us. It never seems fair. I know how much Nikki meant to you, and how far through life you traveled together. I know this is a very difficult time for you, and I hope you know that you indeed have the support from your family and friends. Nikki will never be forgotten. Stay strong for Nikki.

Dear Deanne, I am so truly sorry about your loss. I was just reading about Nikki and my tears started flowing. I lost my Buddy to cancer also. The vet said it was a rapid spreading cancer. Within one week I lost my baby. I know how devastated and heart broken you are. Cherish your memories and know how happy you made her. You were blessed to have her and she knew how much she meant to you. By now I'm sure Nikki & Buddy have met and are keeping each other company. My thoughts and prayers are with you... Celine

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.
