Hi, Patricia! Thank you so much for the opportunity to hear you tell of your friend Mr Midnight, who died. He was amazing- it is poetic to imagine him sitting beneath the Japanese maple tree, and what a great mystery it was that he would bring you birds so that you could set them free together! He was clearly a remarkable cat and a steadfast, loyal and wonderful friend to you, through some very difficult times as well as many great times. I hope that your wealth of awesome memories of Mr Midnight keep you company until the day when you are together again in the next world. He waits for you, along with my late dog friends Bella, Little Guy, Vergil and Gracie, and so many other wonderful animals who have gone on ahead of us to become perfect. With empathy, Megan Philadelphia, PA with Dexter "Big Essie," Bernese mountain dog

Patricia, Each time I read about your Mr Midnight I am moved to tears. As a cat-lover and former owner I feel for you at his passing. I know how hard it is to say goodbye - and it so often falls on us to make the hardest decision of all when our beloved pet is suffering and in pain. It is the last kind thing we can do - though it tears our soul apart - means the breaking of our heart - but it must be. Thank you for rescuing his mother with her 4 kittens and keeping the `runt` of the litter. All my cats were rescued - 3 were black: very special cats! All had to be sent by me to the Bridge - so I know about the additional pain this causes - when we pay the price of love - to spare our fur-child preventable distress. We are responsible for them in life and at their passing. This indescribable pain is the price for all the years of unconditional love they give us. Now he awaits you across the Bridge where you will never part again. For now his spirit remains with you - loving you - always.

Dear Pat, We are so sorry for your loss. Our fur babies know us more than we know ourselves. Even though at times they know how to push our buttons, they are right there by our side giving us love and comfort and we don't even have to ask. Mr. Midnight thank you for taking care of my friend and for choosing to be her life. She's a wonderful person but you knew that. I've heard so many stories about you. I did meet you a couple of times and your mom was right, you were a beautiful cat. We have three beautiful fur babies, Drew, Rudy and Patches, and they are our joy. We also have lost fur babies so we understand mom's pain but please be on the lookout for Boots, Jingles,Boo Boo and Happy {all dogs}. Rest in peace, Mr. Midnight and thank you for all your love and wonderful memories. Love, Virginia, Ron, Drew,Rudy and Patches

Dear Patricia, My prayers are with you on the passing of your precious Mr. Midnight. He was a beautiful boy and obviously deeply loved. You gave him a wonderful life and It is not easy losing our loving companions. I completely understand the pain and grief that you are experiencing and you are not alone. Would like to share this poem read during Princess Diana's memorial. "Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity." (Henry Van Dyke) Hope that the many memories of Mr. Midnight will continually provide you with comfort, he will forever live in your hearts and memories. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! If you would like, please feel free to visit my Baby's memorial. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/CHEST037/Resident.htm. Sending love and light, Nelson

Patricia....a beautiful tribute for a great friend, and Mr Midnight was very lucky to have you as his forever mom..It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us. He is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten. I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Mr. Midnight. Please find comfort in knowing that Mr. Midnight is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Mr. Midnight and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Patricia- What a beautiful tribute and life with Mr. Midnight, whose loyalty, devotion and support throughout your time of need was unwavering. May those moments help to mend your shattered heart and to know your connection with your best friend will remain for an eternity. Believe in the miraculous power of love...especially under that Japanese maple tree! In loving memory, I've placed a stack of blankets at Rainbow Bridge under one of many saplings, especially for your sweet boy. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
