We brought Bon Ami home today. I still can't look at the box. That would mean acknowleging that he's not in the back yard, which I've been avoiding because it's easier to pretend. BUT, in whatever form, he is home.

Hi Jeanne, I just stumbled onto your page and I think it is wonderful. I have lost a few dogs in the past and I am now part of a Rescue Group for Labs. Today we had to make a decision to put a dog down that was just so sick. His name was Max, the cutest little dog, but now he is with your Molly over the Rainbow Bridge.

Dear Jeanne, Reading you story & the poems to molly made me choke up & get tears in my eyes. I have not lost a dog that I was close to but however I have lost two horses. I have a new horse now that I have had for three years now & I don;t know what I would do without him. I also have a dog that his half border collie her name is Skittish. I would be lost without her as well. I have had her since she was born 12-13-04. I wish you & you peace & luck in life & thow we will always think of them & love them, we will still miss them very much, but never stop loving them. My heart goes out to you. Wishing you my deepest sympathy, Carol M. Preslar

I remember seeing Molly out in the yard when I would go out to the pool, she would sometimes be out. I am sorry for your loss. Don has probably met our bunch at the bridge and they were all probably so happy to see him. Betty

Dear Jeanne, As we lost both of ours within less than a year of each other right before we moved, I can really appreciate the pain you are still feeling over your loss. We, too, ended up with two new pups sooner than we thought and have realized, as I'm sure you have, that they're not replacements...they just help us to share the extra love we have for our wonderful 4-legged companions! Take care and give the new pup and extra hug for us!

I have no words that take the pain away and I fear the day I have to say goodbye to our kids. All I can say is that you have our love and support. I know Molly is waiting for you and when you see her again it will be as if you were never apart.

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the happiest of memories of your sweet Molly, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face, be the ones that surround you this Holiday Season. This is the first December holiday season that your "sweet pea" will celebrate on her side of the Rainbow, and just picture her child-like fascination at all the events there this month! Perhaps she even has a special doggy-bisquit ornament to help remember holidays at your home, Jeanne. May each of your love-filled memories bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's something that your furbaby angel would want for you this year.... May God bless you and your entire family this Holiday Season. With best wishes, Karen....Dusty's mom....NJ http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

Dear Jeanne, As I read your words, I felt the pain of my own losses. It was so sweet within the sadness. Thank you. I don't care about pearly gates or streets of gold. Heaven is trees and lakes and flowers and all of our earthly pets jumping into our arms.

Dear Jeanne- My thoughts are with you at this most difficult time. I thank you for your thoughtful email kind words about my Alex Airedale - I know Molly and Alex are having a great time together in the cool sunshine of the Bridge. We have been so blessed to have shared our lives with these precious furry companions - Molly is your special Lady and with always be a part of you. She too is one of the extra special gifts of love - who knew that you would be her person from day one forever. May you cherish all the happy and great memories of your days together. She is a wonderful friend and lovely girl - You are in my thoughts and parayers at this sad time.
