My deepest sympathies to you and your family on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

just wanted to let you know I stopped by to see Mittens. I lost 2 16 year old dogs and it is amazing how they become your children and such a part of your daily routine. I now have a 12 week old kitten and I am looking forward to the little baby. She is so full of life and it doesn't take much to get her running and playing. I know your Mittens is running and playing with her new friends. God needed her to get things ready for when you get to the gate and cross the bridge together never to be seperated again. I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure Mittens was welcomed to Rainbow bridge by my kitties Bozo, July and Miss Kitty. We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan. -Irving Townsend

He Only Takes The Best" God saw you getting tired, And a cure was not to be. He put His arms around you, And whispered, "come With Me". With tearful eyes we watched you, Slowly fade away. Although we loved you dearly, We would not make you stay! A golden heart stopped beating, Your loving soul was put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us That HE only takes the BEST. See you there, Maverick

Jill, I know Mittens is gone and will be missed but I also know you have memories you will cherish forever to keep a smile in your heart. I may not see you often but I know your heart is enormous when it comes to lost, homeless or needy animals and you will find another little homeless animal, to add to your long list of precious furbabies you have saved and loved throughout all the years. If all of them could talk they would tell you just how special you made their lives. I love you and I am sorry you are sad, wish I could make it better. Your Best Friend from long ago.

Hi Rick & Jill I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Mittens. I lost my Zander in July 2008, and I know how you are feeling. I know that someday we will be together again with our beautiful companions; so please take comfort in that there love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. If you get some free time I have attached Zander's link he so loved everyone that I know he will be a fine companion to your baby, take care. Mittens - You are a cute and handsome little one and you truly were brave and lived life to the fullest! You have left your family a lot of fond memories! Send mom and dad some signs, kisses from the Rainbow to let them know that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many friends. Let Rick and Jill know that you have met up with Tarby and that God has appointed the both of you to be their guardian, protectors to watch over them until they are called to the Bridge to join you one day. I will tell my Brande to find you and play with you. Mittens leaves this message to Rick and Jill, "And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side. I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see. Be patient, live your journey out... Then come home to be with me." Author unknown
