I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Luis. Please find comfort in knowing that Luis is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19 and Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20. Julie...a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Luis is a beautiful boy. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Julie: Besides Luis being such a special companion, the memorial page you had thoughtfully written was even more special. Holiday time can be exceptionally difficult while one is mourning a loss. It was evident that despite your life being altered, you were still going to honor Luis by putting up decorations exactly the way you had done so throughout the years. There will be that void, sadness and tears nonetheless. And I'm so deeply sorry. Allow memories to help soften the pain as your journey to healing begins. And without a doubt, your guardian angel is watching over you and is so ever proud of his Mom. And that, Julie, is truly an honor. The vase of fern leaves are really an extra set of wings for the love of your life.

Luis, you don't know me, but we have a mutual friend--Julie. I feel like I know you through her and all the wonderful stories she has shared. You are a clever cat and inspired Julie to write which led her to our writing group. Thank you for your intuition and gentle nudge! Your physical presence will be missed, but I know your spirit lives on. Play hard at the Bridge sweet Luis and look in on Julie and the family from time to time. Oh, and look for Fluff at the Bridge.
