Dear Marsha, I lost my furry friend Nigel, also an OES, to liver cancer last Friday. The pain I feel is overwhelming because we didn't even know he had it until he had to have exploratory surgery due to internal bleeding. By then it was too late. He went peacefully while still under anesthesia. I do feel a little better knowing that he won't be lonely while he resides at Rainbow Bridge. It is comforting to know that until his brother Simon is ready to join him, which I hope isn't for a few more years yet, he has other Old English Sheepdogs to keep him company. Perhaps his brothers and sisters already there can teach him the joy of playing with toys and playing with one another. Nigel was more of a people doggie than a player. He enjoyed hanging out with humans and trying to get attention more than playing, or even eating for that matter. Nigel was a desert doggie, so I am sending a potted cactus your way. Jeff

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful tribute. Lord Byron was a dog among dogs. What a joy he must have brought to your family. He was not a pet, he was a member of the family. He was so very lucky to have found such a loving family. The love you had and will always have for each other will last forever, and his spirit will live within you forever. Till you meet again at the Bridge . . . . My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Welcome to the bridge Lord Byron Keats...how are you today? You are going to make many friends at the bridge & there's so much for you to do. You get to chase bunnies, butterflies & take long naps in the sun. Isn't that great? Make sure you send your mommie lots of smooches so she knows you are OK. To Marsha...we are sorry for your loss. It's never easy letting our babies leave us but we do because we love them so very much. Welcome to the Bridge! I know you're busy making friends, romping around playing, and laughing so hard you just can't stand it, but don't forget to take the time to let your family know you're okay and thank them for the wonderful life they gave you...

Lord Byron - You are the smartest, best looking guy that I have seen in awhile. Send your family some signs, kisses from the Rainbow that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many friends. Let mom know that God has appointed you to be her guardian, protector to watch over her until she is called to the Bridge to join you one day. I will tell my Brande to find you and play with you. To Marsha - I send my heartfelt sympathy to you and the family over the loss of Lord Byron. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will be with our babies again one day. I leave this quote with you, "heaven is the only place where all the dogs and cats you have ever loved will come running to meet you." Author Unknown

Byron, What a precious baby you were, always so loyal and loving. You taught and gave your mommy so much that she now knows the true meaning of unconditional love. She longs for the day to be able to hold you and to look into your eyes again. I know just how grateful you are for all of love and care in which she provided you. She misses you baby, so very much. I know that you don't want her to be sad for too long, but instead, be happy. For you are happy, content at peace and have been surrounded by so many others who also love and adore you, including my Shayna Girl and Leche. I extend my deepest condolences to you for the loss of Byron. I know just how painful it is to have lost your angel, for, I too, lost mine. Please vist my Shayna Girl at: http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/SHAYN005/Resident.htm and Leche at http://www.rainbowbridge.com/residents/LECHE001/Resident.htm My thoughts and prayers are with you. Until we are with our babies again. Shayna and Leche's mommy, Lisa

Hello, handsome Lord Byron Keats, welcome to the sunny meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Mommy loves and misses you so...she made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase sunbeams, basketballs, and rainbows and give you special kitty love headbumps. She'll show you Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind to Mommy...doggie signs to sister too!...so she feels your loving presence and sweet kisses in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until she comes to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask she not be so sad but treasure memories of you and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints in her heart forever. Play happy meadow games with other furangels but stop often to smile at Mommy so she feels the warmth of your love surround her and knows you miss her too. Soar among clouds now on silvery new angel wings to watch over Mommy always, beloved baby. Pressy's Grandpa

Lord Byron, you are so gorgeous! Please go to the Bridge and send your precious love down the Rainbow straight into the heart of your mommy who misses you so much, and she will send her love right back to you on angels' wings. Marsha, your world has lost a very special furperson, and heaven has gained a very special soul. Lord Byron is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as BG is watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May his sweet love continually hug your heart until then. Clare & Martha....Please visit BG at http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BG001/resident.HTM

Welcome, welcome Lord Byron Keats to Rainbow Bridge. Here you will feel no pain, only joy and peace. I know there are lots of balls and snowflakes here for you to play with. You can run, take naps in the sunshine and wag that big tail of yours. But don't forget, you now have a very special job to do. You are the guardian angel for your family. Smile at them and send kisses their way so they can know that you are happy and will be waiting at the gate for them when the time comes. You were a great dog, I know that by the kind words that Marsha wrote about you. Marsha, you have done the best thing for Keats by placing him at Rainbow Bridge. You will find love and support here from other people who have fur angels. We all share each others tears and heartache. God's speed to you in the coming weeks and months. Kindest Regards, Barbara Wagner I have attached the link to my fur angel if you would like to visit her. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/LADYS005/Resident.htm
