Elizabeth- I am so sorry you lost your little girl.Bulldogs are very special.I have one and know how silly and neurotic they are. Bulldogs=laughter. I have had labs, beagles&bulldogs.I love them all but there is something special about a bulldog. I hope Lighnting welcomed my little beagle over the Bridge last Friday. Her brothers were waiting for her but I know she was happy to have a bullldog to play with also. Run in peace pups.

I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I am sure that Lightning and Spooky have become good friends. My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 6 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Dear Elizabeth, I am so sorry that your Lightning has passed on. But I take encouragement in the thought that our furbabies are running & playing in such a beautiful place as they wait to be reunited with us some day. I know how much you miss her, just as we miss our Buddy Cat. I have asked Buddy to look around and find Lightning and I know that they will be good friends. I am sure Buddy will give her noise kisses to let your little angel know how happy he is to have her for a friend. Our hearts go out to you with deepest sympathy for your loss. At least our furbabies are out of pain as we try to deal with our own emptiness now that they are gone. May the God watch over them, and help us who grieve their passing. May he also give us strength and courage during this most difficult time. I would love if you would visit our Buddy Cat. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BUDDY370/Resident.htm

It's so hard to let them go, even knowing that their time on earth is so difficult for them - we just want one more day, but we know it's not fair to them to ask for it. I hope it gives you comfort to know that she is now free from her earthly struggle and that when the time is right you will be together again. I hope that the memories you have of your time together help to ease the pain of your loss.

Elizabeth, I am so very sorry for the loss of your wonderful Lightning. I know the pain you are feeling as I just lost one of my best friends and companions of 16 years, Willy, on January 4, 2011. It hurts so very badly, and I know my tears are still flowing. I know though, Lightning and Willy are probably playing in the meadows running and jumping now. I know Willy loved the sunshine and I hope that Lightning does too. I truly believe that God would not have made a Heaven without our beloved companions there to meet us. I have left an extra angel to look over Lightning, as he s your angel watching over you. I hope that your pain begins to turn to peace that fills your heart with nothing but wonderful memories. God Bless You until we all meet again. I would love for you to visit Willy at www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/WILLY010/ResidentHTM

Hello Elizabeth - I am a friend of your Mom's. I am so sorry to hear about your Lightening. I know how lonely it is after you lose a pet. This will pass and you will always remember her, even when you find another to fill the void.

Tish, I am so sorry. Even though I never met your little pup, I feel like I new Lightning because of how you described her. I know she was such a big part of your life. I sometimes wonder to myself if the few years of happiness is worth the heartbroken time when they pass. I definitely think the good out ways the bad. I'm so sorry for your loss, just know that she is doing better now and is waiting for you up in heaven. Take care.
