I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Lady. Please find comfort in knowing that Lady is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, and Bear 11/17/19. I am sure that Lady and my babies have all become good friends. Sarah and Carl: Lady's love for you was in a league all its own. As pet owners, it is part of the understanding when we make the decision to give them a forever home...if only their forever was longer. With her medical issues, it must have been exceptionally difficult to make 'that decision' yet you were willing to lose a best friend in order for her not to suffer any more. And Lady is not-she is whole and knew again as she sprints throughout the lush meadows at Rainbow Bridge devoid of pain. Gather that imagery which will lessen the grief as you begin your journey to healing. It will take time, but please know you are not alone.
