My sweet boy, I can't believe it has been 2 years since you left for the Rainbow Bridge. Life isn't the same without you. I would give anything to see that sweet face and bury my face in that fur. Hi my sweet boy...I am missing you so much. It snowed last night, you would have loved it. There's not quite enough for you to bury your nose in, but its pretty and looks so weird without your footprints. In 3 days, it will be 5 months since you left. I wish I could say its getting easier. I miss you so much. Someone said to me yesterday...what's wrong, looks like you lost your best friend. I was really missing you yesterday. When I said, I did, they just smiled and said oh. I just want you to do that not a minute goes by that I am not thinking of you. I miss your sweet face, your kisses and even your amazing breath :) I love you Kobe, you are one of a kind, my soulmate, my best friend.

God I miss you so much. Its been almost 4 months since you went to the bridge. Everyone keeps saying just get another dog...but they don't understand. You were more than my dog...you were my baby boy, my kid, my heart. I just miss you so much and not a minute goes by that I don't think of you. It's been snowing like crazy here and all I see is you romping in the snow and burying your nose in it. I love you sweet boy.

Kobe, your Mom wrote the most amazing tribute for you my sweet little boy. I know that my Gus and Freddie welcomed you with open paws and are sitting there with you waiting for us to join you. You are a very special, precious little guy that had the most wonderful Mommy and Daddy in the world. You gave them unconditional love and they gave it right back to you. Be the brightest shining star in the sky at night so your Mom and Dad know you are ok and that you love them so much. I had the pleasure of meeting your Mom in chat last night and have the greatest admiration for her for rescueing you. Many hugs to you sweet boy. Darrah, you are the greatest Mom I have had the pleasure of meeting and I know that Kobe and my boys have become the best of friends and are waiting till that day we all will be together again. Darrah, many hugs my friend. Love, Linda (lkc)

Welcome to the bridge Kobe...you had a very tough start to your life but when all hope had been ripped from your heart, a wonderful lady stepped in & bailed you out of jail & showed you what LOVE is really like. A TRUE angel rescued you & showered you with love. And in return, you gave love to her heart. Now you are at the rainbow bridge where you are healthy & whole once more. Where you can chase butterflies, roll in the grass, play ball with your new doggie friends & lay in the sun. Isn't that great? Just make sure you send your mommie & daddy lots of smooches so they know you are OK. To Darrah...thank you for stepping in & giving this boy the home that he so deserved.

My sweet boy, oh how I miss you. I miss you more as each day passes. The hole in my heart and soul is just so huge. Going home for thanksgiving without you was so hard. You don't know how many times I looked in the rear view to check on you. I miss you so much and I love you even more.

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 6 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Darrah, I just visited Kobe Bryant Metz, I love his name. I also love and enjoyed the way you told the story from Koby's point of view. How lucky he was and you were to find each other, It made tears come to my eyes thinking of him in that cage, and how smart you were to go against all that "good advice". I also hope there is a Rainbow Bridge as Koby describes it. I know the pain and loss you feel in losing Kobe, I lost my precious Bichon, Amor July 1, 2010, I still miss her and think of her everyday. I hope one day we will smile and not cry when we think of Kobe and Amor, we'll remember all the love and joy they gave us so freely. Please visit Amor at Rainbow Bridge to see my little girl. Take care, God bless. Eleanor http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/AMOR001/Resident.htm

What a loving tribute to your beloved Kobe. God bless you for taking in a broken, battered baby and showing him love and compassion. I'm sure he will be waiting for you at the bridge. May the memories you have of your time together give you peace
