Bob, your tribute to Joshua warmed my heart. I'm glad Joshua chose you for his forever papa. They say dog spelled backwards spells God and the love and faithfulness that our animals display must symbolize how our heavenly Father loves and cares for us. Thank you for sharing Joshua's story. In his memory, I light this candle to commemorate his life.

Bob..a miraculous story of how you saved each other.....a beautiful tribute for a great friend. It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us. He is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten. I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

Dear Bob~ Your story is so amazing! I share a similar history, although not to the extreme that you had. My heart goes out to you. It's amazing what the love of a gentle spirit, such as Joshua's can do and what his strenght and patience can teach you. You were his gift too. You spent all of your time, laughter, and love on him. He is blessed to have had you as well. You were meant to be together, he knew you needed him, before you knew! Keep the love and faith. You two will meet again on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Until then continue to open your heart. My thoughts are with you! Handsome Joshua, look in on your daddy and let him know that you are enjoying your playtime at RB, and that you are blessed to have had him as a daddy. You knew you made the right choice. Your love for each other is bound not by "life" but by soul.

The nine years you both shared were not enough but the gift your boy gave you will last a lifetime. Remeber him with a smile and share the love he taught you to feel with others.

I have never read a story like this one before. I have to admit that I cried like a baby. They should make a movie about this. I bet it would make millions. Sorry for your loss. I can see what a loss it was to you. Justin

Hello, handsome Joshua. We're sorry we've not visited sooner but we didn't know about you. The little old gray lady kitty who plays in golden sunbeams and chases rainbows with you in the bright Paradise meadow is our Pressy. Pressy said she is sad because her family had not visited her special doggie playmate Joshua. She told us she loves to give you kitty headbump kisses and has taught you to send love signs on the wind so Dad will feel the warmth of your continuing gift of caring and love and your special doggie kisses in the gentle evening breezes. Pressy said you send love signs to tell Dad you're happy in Paradise watching over him and waiting until he comes to cross the Bridge to be together for all time. Play happily in beautiful Paradise with the other furbabies but stop often to smile down on Dad so he'll know you love and miss him too and you're with him always wherever he is. Soar high among the clouds now on your silvery angel wings, beloved Joshua. Pressy's Grandpa

Dear Bob, Your write-up brought me to tears.Am so sorry for all the agony you suffered in your childhood. But the beautiful love you and Joshua shared completely overshadows these bad memories. You wrote Joshua trusted you with his life. These angels are so innocent that their entire world is us .I am so glad you decided to honour your dear friend by telling us about his unflinching love and trust. It only tells us that hurt and pain dont last forever and that these fur babies have an enormous capacity to heal the most severe of wounds.I lost my baby girl Reine on 27 feb this year. I am still seeing her in dreams and i know shes with me forever in spirit.Pl visit Reine's residency. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/REINE001/Resident.htm Pl do mail me if you wish to.Joshua was indeed God's way to tell you He cared for you. Sleep soft dear Joshua, Reine and Pressy cat and Julie are there with you. God bless you dear babies.
