Nine years, wow. I didn't realize it's been that long, honey. He still loves you, still watches over you. He's hanging out with all our dogs and helping others find their way to the light. 💖💖💖

I feel I've gained a deep understanding of the brilliant boy that Jethro was while he was here in his body and in your life. I think he loved you very much. The two of you were brought together for a reason; each to help and heal the other and to walk together on a joint journey for a time. I wish I could have met your smiling boy.

Thank you so much! So many thoughts and emotions were pulled into my heart. Reading your memories of Jethro and feeling just how much love there was between the two of you opened the floodgates of memories that I have had over the years with Sadie and the last year with Scarlet. Thank you for this gift of a part of your life. Your sharing has helped me so much. Much love, Jan

I am so sorry to hear about your recent loss of Jethro. Please find comfort in knowing that Jethro is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I am sure that Jethro and Spooky have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Lori, Your memorial to Jethro is beautiful and touching. I now remember it was during Bellerive Day when you called to tell me you might not be coming to help because Jethro had taken a turn for the worse. How hard that must have been for you to experience his final days. However, what a wonderful life he had. I know he was a great gift to you, but make no mistake what a great gift you were to him! He loved to chase the motorcycles at Carondelet Park. That was a fun time when I used to bring Rupert and Pooper up to the park to play with their friends. Those were fun days hanging out with you. Thanks for leading me to this site. Annette

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel Jethro, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember the way your baby's tender love touched your very heart, be the ones that surround you this Holiday Season. My prayer for each of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us this special season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it most.... And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved furbaby bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your fur-angel would want for you this year ... With best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty & DJ's mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

Lori, I am so sorry it took me so long to visit Jethro. I had to have time to grieve even though he was not mine. I loved and still love him very much! I hope you are doing well. This is such a great tribute to Jethro and I am sure he is smiling back down on you. When I first saw his picture I burst into tears. He looks so peaceful and happy. Your message is so touching and true. God works in mysterious ways and who would have thought that He would send a dog to "save" someone. "Through Him all things are possible.." Please do not hesitate to call if you need a kind word or just to talk to someone. I admire your love and compassion that you have for your animals and for the people in your life. You are truly a loving soul. Thank you for being in my life(even though we only see each other at the office). Talk to you soon.

Words are just descriptions of our most beloved thoughts and I loved reading of your love for your beautiful Jethro. Somewhere in time, we as humans made death a really bad thing and I think it is because of the horrendous missing. In the beginning, I think, that when our beloveds left us, there was some rejoicing knowing that they'd be waiting for us, but that dreaded missing makes all of the days miserable. Lori, he is there in the nighttime when your brain is asleep, and he is there in the autumn chasing leaves. He is always where you are, and that never changes. Thank you for your beautiful heart and your beautiful spirit and for letting me meet you and get to know you. God brings miracles to us in subtle ways. And your days of being a miracle are just starting. Remember I'm here for you. Linda

Lori Wow- i am sitting her crying-this site and tribute was a special blessing. Not only for you, but for me today since you shared it. Your message is beautiful. I know that having Jethro in your life was more joy than ever and nothing I say can make it better for you during his loss- but please know that those feelings you had for him made you a better human being and will continue to make you a better person. You should know that I am a knock on the door away and Max would LOVE to sit with you and Margo or just you:) I have you in my prayers!!

Dear Lori- I am so sorry to hear about Jethro. I can't even imagine what you and Margo have been through these last few days. What a beautiful tribute you wrote of Jethro. He was such a wonderful dog and you were connected so closely. He's in a better place now- free of pain and suffering. I'm sure you will keep his spirit alive. I will call soon. I would love to get together for one of our walks soon. Love, Laura

A beautiful and touching tribute to you, Jethro, from your loving and grieving Mommy. Lori, you are indeed blessed with one of God's furry creatures who was sent to you as a special gift. I, too, have lost two of my loving furry companions and can tell you that time does lessen the intensity of the grief but nothing will ever diminish your heart filled memories and your everlasting love. Please wrap yourself in Jethro's love as he will help you thru this time of loss and grief. In Sympathy, Sharon Maust
