Jasmine, what a beautiful dog you were. Monday, July 6, 2009, I let my beautiful dog go to Rainbows Bridge. She was a special family member as I can tell you were as well. She looks very much like you, but was beginning to lose her youthful look from constant pain in her legs and hips. Find her in the meadow and show her around. She will make a very good and faithful friend. To your mom, I hope your pain is less and Rainbows Bridge gives you the comfort it gives us. I sometimes think I can't make it, but to know so many share my grief and know my loss, makes it a little less painful. When I saw your Jasmine I thought I saw my Cookie. She was the love of my life. You can visit her at http://Rainbowsbridge.com/Residents/Cooki043/Residents.htm

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel Jasmine, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember the way your baby's tender love touched your very heart, be the ones that surround you this Holiday Season. My prayer for each of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us this special season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it most.... And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved furbaby bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your fur-angel would want for you this year ... With best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty & DJ's mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

Dear Thelma: I cried when I read the beautiful tribute that you wrote to Jasmine (and I am crying now). I think about the two of you often, but especially on Thursdays when I really miss seeing you. I remember her strutting around the waiting room, greeting everyone and showing them how well she could walk. Such a proud, beautiful, gentle, caring soul. I miss both of you. I know Jasmine still watches over you and your family. Please take care. Dr. Laura

We were so lucky to be a part of Jasmine's life. You were a wonderful pet mom, not only to Jasmine, but to all of your furbabies, always. Jasmine was always such a love to have in the hospital, sweet and loving, kind and playful. We will miss here very much. You are truy one of a kind pet parents. Thank you for letting us share in Jasmine's life. Love, Kathy, MaryEllen, Barbara, Laura, Jenifer, Heather, Lisa, Tina, Julie, Zineb, Faith, Kelly, Vanessa, Linda, Amy and Julia

Thelma, Spencer and John, I will always have such special memories of Jasmine. I can't tell you all how much it has meant to me to be included in your family. From that first time Dandy rubbed his head all over me, I was hooked on you guys. I feel so lucky to have known Jasmine, and to be a part of her life. I will miss her more than words can say, but I know I will see her again, just that side of the Rainbow Bridge. Love you guys always, Heather

Thelma, Please accept my deepest condolences over your loss of Jasmine. I had to write you because a few months ago, I ad opted a rescue dog. Her given name was Sugar, but I renamed her Jasmine because I thought it fit her well. She's a mix breed, but I believe she has Lab in her. I also call her Jazzy. Also, coincidentally, when she was rescued a few years ago, she too had been abandoned and tied up on her former owners' back yard. They had left her there for 2 weeks without food or water after being evicted from their home. I'm so happy I have her, and so happy that you found your Jasmine and were able to spend 14 wonderful years with her. I'm so sorry for the pain you must be feeling after losing her. She looks like a very sweet girl.

Thelma no more beautiful words to your Jazzy could be written. What a beautiful soul, so sad for those who didn't care and left her tied to that tree, but oh what a plan the Man upstairs had for Jazzy, now He has called His special little angel back to Him and the angels so that Jazzy can be restored to perfect health. Hang onto those beautiful memories they will help you thru til the day comes when you are reunited in heaven once again.

Hello, pretty Jasmine, welcome to the forever sunny meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Mom loves and misses you so...she made you a beautiful place at RB. We asked our Pressy to help Daisy, Dandy, and Dutchess welcome you and be your playmate to chase golden sunbeams and tennis balls and give you kitty love headbumps. She'll help show you Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind to Mom so she feels your loving presence beside her and sweet kisses in gentle evening breezes. You're now another guardian star shining brightly until she comes to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask she not be so sad but treasure memories of you and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints deep in her heart forever. Play happy meadow games with other furangels but stop often to smile at Mom so she feels the warmth of your love and knows you miss her. Soar high among the clouds now on your silvery new angel wings to watch over Mom always, beloved Jasmine. Pressy's Grandpa

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Wow! I can't believe Jasmine is gone. She really was a sweetheart and loved you all soo much, especially you Thelma! I remember that you told me just a few weeks ago that she had performed a miracle by crawling up the stairs while you were recovering from surgery just so that she could be by your side while you were suffering eventhough she wasn't any better off herself. We'll all miss her and wish you the best during this difficult time. Love, Big Sis

We're so sorry you lost Jazzy, we know she is indeed in a better place, with no pain - but that doesn't mean you'll miss her any less. Thinking of you, we love you, Soph & Lou

I'm so sorry to hear about your dear little Jasmine. I'll never forget being at the pheasant club and all of a sudden having this yellow lab jumping all over me. We searched and searched for her owners to no avail. I brought her home and made her an honorary golden. I obviously made the right decision when I thought you might be interested in her and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing her with so much love and such a good home. I know you will miss her. She was a good, good girl and you should be very proud since you are the one who made her that way. Love Ardith

I remember, cleary, when Jasmine joined the Kirkwood family. It was a very exciting time. And, although Jasmine did need to learn how to be a house dog, no barking, not pulling on the leash, etc., she learned very quickly and was always such a sweet and loving dog--very smart. I remember her favorite movie, The Incredible Journey. She would watch it so intently and bark when things would get exciting. That was truly amazing. She was so lucky to have found a Mom like Thelma--someone who would go the ends of the earth for her furry kids. And, likewise, Thelma was so lucky to have found Jasmine. Jasmine came at a time when Thelma needed her the most and helped Thelma through some difficult situations. Needless to say, they were a perfect match. And Jasmine was a perfect addition to and an important member of a wonderful family. She will be missed and the precious memories she left will never be forgotten.
