Ginny, I loved reading your story about Jake and can see how close the bond is between you - a rare and precious gift from our loving Creator God. We both know he is waiting for you in the green fields of Heaven - to jump on you as soon as you `wake up` in that Place of Love and Light. May your memories of him always be sweet and may you be comforted by your belief that a part of him lives on in Zeus. Hello Ginny, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Jake. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. Ginny, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Jake. Please find comfort in knowing that Jake is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. Just recently on January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. Spooky never met Hannah but I am sure Spooky greeted Hannah at the bridge. I am sure that Jake, Spooky, and Hannah have become good friends. I am so sorry for the loss of your Jake. It sounds As though he made your life very interesting. I lost my little sponge bob on June 15th. It is so hard to go on without him. Funny you should mention the reincarnate idea, but I think you may be on to something there. I hope Jake likes the toy I am leaving for him. Bless you

For Ginny, I just visited Jake's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. From looking at Jake's photo and reading what was written for and about Jake it is obvious that he came from a very warm and loving home. I am sure if asked, Jake would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing.
