"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel Indiana, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember the way your baby's tender love touched your very heart, be the ones that surround you this Holiday Season. My prayer for each of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us this special season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it most.... And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved furbaby bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your fur-angel would want for you this year ... With best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty & DJ's mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

Diane ... I know that Indiana would appreciate how you are remembering him. I am a dog person too with a Great Dane and a Weimeraner ... I can't think about losing them.

SO sorry for your loss. I haven't had the chance to view my Indy's guest book,so I just saw your message today. It was too busy over the holidays. Our Indy's actual AKC name was Indy's Checkered Finish-named in honor of the Indy 500. It's funny but we often called him Indiana or Indiana Jones or Indiana Jones Bones. He's been gone over a month now and just the other day I saw something brown on the floor out of the corner of my eye, I immediately thought of him. You would think by now,my brain would process that he is not here. I hope you will find some comfort in the notes from people on rainbow bridge. I know how hard it is to make that final decision, when you have been with your friend for so long. It was over 14 1/2 years for us. We are lucky that we have a 3 year old dog, who brings a lot of love to our family. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Dear Indiana, This will be your first Christmas away from home. I will tell you there are many wonderful animals there. All have been loved and all are missed- just like you. I wrote this for my dog- but it could be from any parents who has a pet beyond the bridge. A Christmas Promise A promise to the Animals of Rainbow Bridge How nice it would be to visit you on this Christmas eve. How clear the Christmas star would be from your Celestial home. So many friends I want to see, and many from long ago. We could visit the animals from Manger square, and many more we know. If I am chosen - one day - to cross the bridge to you, there will never be another Christmas that I won't share with you. Written for Jake Childers December 22, 2007 Gloria Jean Childers

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Indiana I weep as I read your story it is so touching so close to mine and my Kaizer's with the exception that I still have my boy. What a love story indeed and Diane it will never end, because your Indiana lives on with you just inside your heart til the day comes that you are reunited forever more in a land of perfect health and youth. I wish you a beautiful Christmas in heaven Indiana will all our babies and the angels themselves

Indiana - what a handsome guy you are! Send your mom and dad some kisses from the Rainbow to let them know that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many friends. Let mom and dad know that God has appointed you to be their guardian, protector to watch over them until they are called to the Bridge one day to join you. I will tell my Brande to find you and play with you. To Diane - I send my deepest regrets to you over the loss of Indiana. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will be with our babies again one day. I leave this quote with you, "heaven is the only place where all the dogs and cats you have ever loved will come running to meet you." Author Unknown

Diane and family, I am truly sorry for the loss of your beloved Indiana, and I wish you guys peace and comfort during this Holiday Season. Please know that here at RB others like myself, know well the pain you have in your heart today. We know how much you loved and miss this ever so precious Furbaby. Your Indiana, is now in a most beautiful place that the bonds of your love created for him. He had a wonderful life and he knew, how very much, you loved him. He is once again the beautiful, happy, healthly furbaby you fell in love with long ago and had such a special place in your lives. May all of Indiana's many good and treasured memories help you through this difficult time, and may his precious spirit live on in your hearts forever. Indy, what a handsome boy you are! Diane, your world has lost a very special furperson, and heaven has gained a very special soul. Indy is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as BG is watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May his sweet love continually hug your heart until then. Clare & Martha

To precious Indiana, a new angel at the Rainbow... I'm just so very sure the very moment you crossed over to your new home that your health, youth and vigor were instantly renewed, weren't they? And though you are going to miss mommy back here, I just know you've had a chance to look around for some soft heavenly places to take your sunny Rainbow-colored naps, haven't you sweet baby... And each time you look up and see that wondrously beautiful Rainbow, may you know that your family has actually helped make it shine a little brighter. How? With their tears, sweet baby. Their gentle tears here have mixed with the sunshine there at your new home, and your Rainbow shines even more beautifully for you now, doesn't it little baby! An old Indian proverb: "The Soul would have no Rainbow if the Eyes had No Tears" says it best... You are now resting in the Arms of the Angels...what more could Diane have ever wished for you? What more could she have ever wished....

Hello, handsome Indiana, welcome to the forever sunny meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Your Mom loves and misses you so...she made you a beautiful place at RB and wrote wonderful words about you. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be your playmate to chase golden sunbeams and rainbows and give you kitty headbumps. She'll show you wonders of Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind to Mom so she'll feel your loving presence beside her and sweet doggie kisses in gentle evening breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly for her until she comes to cross the Bridge together for all time. We'll ask she not be so sad but remember you're nestled deep in her heart forever. Run to play happy meadow games with the other furbabies but stop often to smile at Mom so she'll feel the warmth of your love and know you miss her too and are with her. Soar high among the clouds now on your silvery new angel wings to watch over Mom always, beloved Indiana. Pressy's Grandpa
