My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 6 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Thomas, how very handsome! I am so very sorry that Hugo had to leave to cross the bridge. They are not lost, just waiting for us. One of my best friends and companion of 16 years, Willy, went to the bridge in January. My tears still flow when I think of him. I know though, that Hugo and Willy are probably playing in the meadows, running and jumping now. I know Willy loved the sunshine and I hope that Hugo does too. I truly believe that God would not have made a Heaven without our beloved companions there to meet us. I have left an extra angel to look over Hugo, as they are our special angels watching over us. I hope that your pain begins to turn to peace that fills your heart with nothing but wonderful memories. They make the days become a little less heartbreaking knowing that their hearts are always with ours. God Bless You until we all meet again. I would love for you to visit Willy at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/WILLY010/Resident.HTM

Thomas, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Hugo and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. Please visit our Nikki Mae at: http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/NIKKI115/Resident.htm

My dearest, sweet baby Huggybear. You were such a good boy for your Daddy for so many super years. You were also a good furry buddy for my Doobey. Now you can go run and play with her once again. Tell her Mommy says hi. We will miss you. Love - Mama

Hugo - You are so elegant and stately looking, and I know that you left a lot of fond memories with your family! Send them some signs, kisses from the Rainbow to let them know that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many friends. Let Thomas know that God has appointed you to be the guardian, protector to watch over him until he is called to the Bridge to join you one day. I will tell my Brande to find you and play with you. To Thomas - I send my sincere sympathy to you over the loss of Hugo. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will be with our babies again one day. I leave this quote with you, "heaven is the only place where all the dogs and cats you have ever loved will come running to meet you." Author Unknown

Hello Thomas, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Hugo. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on there memory and begin to celebrate there life. Please take comfort in knowing that one day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander in July 2008 & have attached his link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm

Dear Thomas, sweet Hugo is so very beautiful and what a wonderful blessing that you found each other so many years ago. I am sure Hugo brought joy to your life every day he was with you. Now Hugo plays with many new furfriends in heaven's most beautiful meadow. I know this is true because my two angel kitties are playing there too. I will tell my Inky and Bubba Lou to find sweet Hugo and they will become good friends up there in the meadow. We will be reunited with our little departed ones at the bridge someday. And tonight, Thomas, when you look up, don't see them as stars, see them as porch lights that have welcomed your loved one safely home. He's home, happy and well and smiling down on you. Blessings of comfort and peace to you always. I understand and care.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know what it feels like to loose a special friend. I never got to meet Hugo, but from all the chats with his Dad I feel like I know him. I know he was a special little guy.
