It has been 7 years since you left this world and I still think of you often. Logically I know you were never meant to live forever. None of us are really but it doesn’t change the fact that I still miss you and your unconditional love and happiness. It has been an emotional 24 hours and I could not pinpoint why I felt this way because I am embarrass fo admit that I have tried to forget the day that you passed away because it isn’t something I like to think about. My body and heart on the other hand remembered… once again, emotions trumping my logical/rational side. We miss you and although I don’t believe in heaven/hell, I hope we are reunited in someway, shape, or form. You may already be with your first Mom Grandma and if that is the case, I am happy about that too. Love, your chosen second Mom.

Hello there Heidi, I was just visiting some of my babies here at the bridge and came across your story. What a life precious one, I too had a boy that was terrified of thunder, I too think he was because he was left out to fend for himself....but like you he was blessed to have found humans who loved and made his life better, that said Heidi, we do that indeed but the love and the devotion you give to us is far more than we could have ever given to you all. Since you have been there a bit I feel you have met up with grandma I am sure you are walking in the cool meadows together once again enjoying all the beautiful sites of heaven.

Dear Heidi, I am sure you have met my Heidi. She is the other Dachshund. I hope you two are playing together telling each other stories how you two were loved and spoiled. My Heidi loved roses, and she even smelled like a rose. To remind you that she was here, she left a single rose Here is the the link to the other Heidi the Dachshund. https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/HEIDI117/Resident.htm

Hello, pretty little Heidi, welcome to the meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Mommy loves and misses you so...she made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words about you. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase golden sunbeams and colorful rainbows and give you special kitty love headbumps. She'll show you wonders of Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind so Mommy feels your loving presence with her and sweet kisses in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until she comes to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask she not be so sad but treasure memories of you and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints deep in her heart forever. Play meadow games with other furangels but stop often to smile at Mommy so she feels the warmth of your love surround her and knows you miss her too and are with her. Soar among clouds now on silvery new angel wings to watch over Mommy always, beloved sweet Heidi. Pressy's Grandpa

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Heidi. Please find comfort in knowing that Heidi is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Heidi and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Heidi was so very lucky to have found you and your family. She clearly needed love and care and she received that and more from you. Her story is so similar to that of my Mr. Kitty's, it touched me very much.

Hello Valerie, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Heidi. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZIANN001/Resident.htm

Heidi I am sorry for your loss. Valerie loves and misses you very much. I can telk by your story you were a very special dog. My Perseus went to Rainbow Bridge when he was 14. You are as you were in your youth. No more aches or pains. No rain only sunshine. Running and playing all day with the other furbabies. One day we will be with them again for all eternity at Rainbow Bridge. Toni

We never have our furbabies with us long enough, and my heart goes out to you in the loss of your beautiful, precious Heidi. Your tribute brought tears to my eyes, and I'm grateful for all the love you and your family gave to her. May you be comforted in your grief by your wonderful memories.

Dear Valerie I'm sorry for the loss of your Heidi. What a beautiful tribute for a beautiful girl. I lost my Finnbar December 2012.I understand how hard it is to say goodbye. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be.Until then Heidi is waiting for you at the bridge happy and healthy. There are new places to explore so much space to run like the wind all the good treats and when she needs a break, meadows to lie in the sun. She's having a ball with her new friends all the while still keeping an eye on you.I hope she's met Finn by now. He's a friendly little cat but he's scrappy and he can catch. If you would care to visit my Finnbar http://Rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Finnb001/Resident.htm
