So sorry for your loss of a special little kitty cat that was part of you (Michael) and Dorothea's family. It was wonderful that he had such a wonderful life from the moment that he was born with a mom named Lucky who was lucky to be part of your family also. Your tribute is a tissue alert as it had me crying seeing that Gizmo's time had come and you did not want to see him suffer anymore since you both loved him so much. I have been there so I know the pain and grief. One day you will see Gizmo again. Gizmo is at peace knowing he was so loved and cared for and lived a long life (almost 17.5 years of age) due to your love and care. Gizmo will remain in you and Dorothea's hearts forever. I know each year around the time of passing and the time of birth, is even more difficult but one day you both will be with Gizmo again and all those who have passed that you both loved and treasured. With my sincerest sympathy, Susan L. Discount & My "Furkidz" in NJ

Dear folks , So sorry for the loss of Gizmo❤ this diary is such a loving tribute! It made me cry and smile but most of all comforted me. I lost 3 senior kitties this year. I have lost many pets and people in my life but these three were especially difficult . Your tribute to Gizmo has given me hope. Thank You! Until the rainbow bridge!🌈 Karen

Thank you for sharing Gizmo's story. It's amazing how much we all love our furbabies and how much we miss them when they leave us, even years later. This is a really nice tribute to Gizmo. I'm sure he would appreciate it.

Thank you for sharing Gizmo's life with me. I am sure he is enjoying life at the Rainbow Bridge and has met up with Tigger, ChiChi, Bonny, Moppet, Sunny, Isis, Bran and Sita, my furbabies - I just hope he understand their Scottish accented purrs! I'm sure he does! All of them will be waiting at the Bridge when we get there and until then we have the happy memories that they shared with us! Love and blessings from Scotland xx

Michael and Dorothea, it is always sad to lose a pet. They really do become part of the family. But, please take comfort in knowing that Gizmo is always with you only in A different form -- the body is the vehicle which carries the spirit. The body dies but the spirit lives forever. Gizmo will try to let you know he is near you -- just keep yourself open to that idea. After reading the story of how you found Sami, there is no doubt in my mind that Gizmo sent him to you. Gizmo probably looked around and found a cat who needed a lot of love and remembered that you two have a lot of love to give so Gizmo sent Sami to you.

Dear Michael & Dorothea. Your baby was such a beautiful cat. We have a black long hair named after our grand daughter Autumn. She is definitely the "QUEEN" of the house. Be strong and know that kitty is in a wonderful place waiting for you to them. Sincerely, Nick Sacco Author: In Heaven Kittens Play

I know exactly how you feel as we always loved our animals, maybe too much. We still have two cats to go and no matter how many we had it never gets any easier losing them. hope I get to see every one of them again some day.
