Karin, What a beautiful poem for the passing of your beloved poodle, Gabe: your angel dog - your best dog ever! Words are often inadequate to describe our feelings for our precious fur-children when they pass. The music of poetry sums up your love in a wonderful way, fitting for his memorial. Here you may mourn your loss but also make it a place where you can celebrate his life and all the happiness you shared together during his 15 years with you. Saying goodbye is the hardest thing we have to go through with our pet animals - whether they pass naturally from old age - or, as is so often the case, it is our painful responsibility as parents to ease them out of their suffering. In my experience the latter is the most difficult to come to terms with and takes time, tears and the support of understanding friends/family to help us through this loss into a place of peace and healing. I can promise you this will come as the realisation dawns upon you that he is still near - loving you.

Hello Karin, As you begin to reflect on memories of your beautiful Gabe. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZIANN001/Resident.htm

No more pain or suffering for our furbabies, only sunshine and lots of new friends. Soon you will all be together again and going over the rainbow together, which is where your lives’ really begin

Dear Karin, My prayers are with you on the passing of your precious Gabe. He was a beautiful boy and obviously deeply loved. You gave him a wonderful life and It is not easy losing our loving companions. What a beautiful poem that you dedicated to your sweet prince. I completely understand the pain and grief that you are experiencing and you are not alone. Would like to share this poem read during Princess Diana's memorial. "Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity." (Henry Van Dyke) Hope that the many memories of Gabe. will continually provide you with comfort, he will forever live in your heart and memories. If you would like, please feel free to visit my Baby's memorial. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/CHEST037/Resident.htm. Sending love and light, Nelson

Karin, my heart breaks for you at the loss of your sweet angel Gabe. He gave you so much love and joy for the time you two spent together. The poem you wrote for him really resonates with me because I, too, lost my beloved little angel Murphy. He was my love and light, and I miss him terribly. I hope they can meet so they can run and play, or simply relax in the warm sunshine. May the loving memory of your little Prince remain with you until you meet again.

I am so sorry for your loss of Gabe. My heart goes out to you as I know you are struggling so with the loss of your precious baby. Your world has lost a very special baby, family member and friend, but the heavens have welcomed home a very special soul. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. I know you had a special relationship with Gabe that will always be a part of you. I pray that my sweet little girl, Bailey, found Gabe and they have become friends. May the precious love you shared with Gabe continue to warm your heart and I hope you find peace and comfort knowing that your love will bind you together forever. Peace and blessings to you. My precious Bailey left our world December 5th, 2013 and we miss her so. Please visit my Bailey at http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/BAILE364/Resident.htm

Karin- Such a touching tribute to your best friend and companion, Gabe, who filled your heart and soul for an eternity. I am deeply sorry for your loss and the excruciatingly painful silence that now surrounds you. May memories bring you solace and time bring you peace. In loving memory, I've placed a satiny-pillow (sorry, it's pink!) on one of the many benches at Rainbow Bridge for your 'angel boy'.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Gabe. Please find comfort in knowing that Gabe is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Gabe and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan
