Well hello Fred, as I read your story my heart was taken back to so many of my own, 7 of our 9 that lay at rest here are from bad situations. To the rescue, God bless you I have worked with rescue and transport many years and the one thing I always say after one is homed or transported....KEEP ON ....NEVER GIVE UP...UNTIL THE DAY COMES WHEN THEY EACH HAVE THE HOME AND THE LOVE THEY DESERVE. AND UNTIL THEN MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND EACH HAND AND HEART THAT GIVES TO THESE BEAUTIFUL SOULS. HAPPY EASTER IN HEAVEN FRED, I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE GRAND EGG HUNT UP THERE WITH ALL THE BABIES WHO HAVE GONE ON BEFORE US!!

What a lovely tribute to such a beautiful boy. I just lost my basset hound of almost eight years, and I was reading some of the memorials and found yours to be so sweet.

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of Fred, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your faces and a chuckle to your hearts as you remember how Fred's paw prints touched your lives, be the ones that bloom in your hearts this Holiday Season. My prayer for all of us this blessed season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us during the Holidays. May you catch a glimpse of Fred's special sign, just when your hearts need it the most....And may each love-filled memory you all have of sweet Fred bring to your hearts the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" he would want for the Tri County Animal facility this year...God bless, and best wishes for the faculty there for a blessed Holiday Season...from Karen (Dusty, DJ, Patches, and Momma’s mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

Hello Tri County , I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Fred. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZIANN001/Resident.htm

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Fred. Please find comfort in knowing that Fred is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. Just recently on January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. Spooky never met Hannah but I am sure Spooky greeted Hannah at the bridge. I am sure that Fred, Spooky, and Hannah have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Tri County Animal....so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Fred and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. I just discovered Rainbow Bridge and my sweet Karley girl just entered Heaven's gate on Feb. 27th. My grief is raw and comes in waves. This site is so comforting, especially sharing in personal stories and love of all our fur babies. Your poem (I wrote one for my baby girl too.) is touching and your tribute gives such insight into his personality. Fred was very blessed to have found your shelter, which was undoubtedly his home. He sounds very unique so I left him a hedge hog toy. Rest in peace Fred. I will tell my Karley to find him as she had ALOT of personality too know they'll have fun together. Please meet my Karley and visit her memorial site. http://oursweetkarley17.pets-memories.com

My heart goes out to you at Fred's crossing over the bridge. Both of my furbabies have crossed over in just a little over two years. The tears still flow freely when I think of them. It becomes somewhat easier, but our love for them is so great and binding that they take a piece of our hearts with them. I know that my God would not have made a Heaven that would not have a place for my Willy and Daniel. I live for the day that they will purr in my arms again. I know that they were there to greet Fred. I hope that he enjoys the sunlight as much as my boys did. For I believe that there is great joy and freedom there. I know that they are our guardian angels and watch over us, jumping and running in the beautiful meadows. May your heart begin to heal and know peace, and may you begin to find bittersweet joy in the wonderful memories of your beloved furbaby. I have left an angel for Fred. I will pray for your continued healing until we all meet again. God Bless You.

May you be comforted by the vision of Fred running and playing in sun drenched fields with all of his new friends, and under the watchful eye of our wonderful and loving Lord. What a beautiful memory page you created for Fred. He obviously captured your hearts at first glance. You said everything there's to be said about loving a dog in your tribute, so all I can add is that I'm thinking of you and hoping the pain of losing Fred will soon lessen. Perhaps you'll be able to think of him more with smiles than tears. Fred would like that.
