Dale, this is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful animal. What a gorgeous boy Finny was! The picture here of him at 15 - I would never have guessed his age to be 15; he looks half his age. I'm sure your years with him produced many wonderful memories that now keep him alive in your heart. May he rest in peace.

What a wonderful tribute! I am so very very sorry for your loss of such a beloved pet! It is so very difficult, isnt it. But know that you are not alone. May the memories you have give you peace and comfort. "Grieve not, nor think of me with tears But laugh and talk to me as if I were beside you. I loved you so... 'Twas Heaven here with you."

I met Finny in 96 and I fell in love with him immediately. He used to love chasing me around the house and playing. I want to thank Dale for allowing me to be with him when he took Finny to the vet to be put to sleep. I was able to see him one last time, and told him how much I loved and would miss him. I watched him fall asleep while he looked at us with those pretty blue eyes. I will never forget him.

Dale, what a beautiful eulogy for Finny and his cherished memory. I think that a pet is one of the greatest gifts God gives us because it is such unconditional love and devotion--showing us, by way of these dear friends, how God's love is for us. I truly believe that Finny was your true soul mate and he felt your love all around him. He has to be thanking you for all the happy years he had with you and for such loving, tender care you bestowed upon him. My prayer is that we will see all of our cherished babies that we have had to release from suffering one day...and they will surely be running toward us in love and eagerness to splash kisses on our faces. Thank you for taking such good care of your furbaby. Love, Betty

Finny, What a handsome boy you are. Now that you are officially a Bridgekid, you have a big reponsibility, and that is to let your mom know everyday how much you love her. By now, You have met Bear the horse, Mellow the cat, Cyrano the service dog. Rn fast, play hard, and love always. Cheryl Cy's mom

Dale, words cannot express how sorry I am for the loss of your best friend! I know that you two shared a very deep bond! You two were lucky to have found each other and blessed by the amount of time you had together! I know that you made the best decisions for him always and your final decision, albeit the hardest one to make, eased his pain and suffering. Just jot down all of the funny stories about him and how he commanded respect (fear?) of the neighborhood now, and he will never be forgotten! With much sympathy! J

I am so sorry to read of Finny's passing. What a handsome dog with very unusual markings! I will ask my horse, Bear, to take him for a ride at the Bridge where anything is possible! May you find peace and comfort.

Animals give humans something that humans cannot give and that's the unconditional love. All they ask for is food, be taken out and love and that's really not that hard to give. Dale, I know that you gave Finny absolutely everything he needed during his life and that the love you and he shared was unconditional in the true sense of the word. I cannot understand the feelings you must have with the hardest decision you've probably ever had to make in your life as I've not been in that position, but I know that Finny knew that everything you did was for him and was unselfish in every way. He is not forgotten and never will be. Truly man's best friend.
