Oh such a beautiful kitty cat!! I am so very sorry she had to leave you. But what a wonderful long life you did have together. I know what that is like as I too am a passionate kitty lover and understand what you mean. they are kind of like your soul living right beside you. they do feel it all. My two right now are young as I just lost a 15 year old who was my heart. So I rescued two during COVID to help out. It really helped my sorrow and they are characters!. Only problem is I am older and they are younger....wow!! But all is good and already they are my shadow too just like Duchess and Harley were yours. Our babies do suffer just as we do when they go so it is important to talk to them and tell them how we love them no matter where they are. It feels good to do it and it helps everybody with the pain. Be well and talk your love. Your fur babies are now your own personal angels watching over you until you all hug again forever. What a day that will be. God bless you all.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

I am so sorry for your loss of Duchess. My heart goes out to you as I know you are struggling so with the loss of your precious baby. Your world has lost a very special baby, family member and friend, but the heavens have welcomed home a very special soul. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. I know you had a special relationship with Duchess that will always be a part of you. I pray that my sweet little girl, Bailey, found Duchess and they have become friends. May the precious love you shared with Duchess continue to warm your heart and I hope you find peace and comfort knowing that your love will bind you together forever. Peace and blessings to you. My precious Bailey left our world December 5th, 2013 and we miss her so. Please visit my Bailey at http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/BAILE364/Resident.htm

For sweet Duchess, I know that during your lifetime you gave Stephen much joy. Now I am wishing you lots and lots of happiness playing in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at your photo and reading what Stephen wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Duchess, I have a wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and although he is a little dog he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Stephen, I just visited your Duchess' Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious Fur Angel. I am sure if asked, Duchess would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Having lost my little dog Pedro I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Duchess. Wishing you all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom).
