I am so sorry that Doogie had to leave to cross the bridge. They are not lost, just waiting for us. My best friends and companions went to the bridge, Willy last year and Daniel just this week. My tears are flowing freely when I think of them. I know though, that they are all probably playing in the meadows, running and jumping now. Willy and Daniel loved the sunshine, and I hope that he does too. I believe that God would not have made a Heaven without our beloved companions there to meet us. I left an angel to look over Doogie, as they are our special angels watching over us. I hope that your pain begins to turn to peace that fills your heart with nothing but wonderful memories. They make the days become a little less heartbreaking knowing that their hearts are always in ours. God Bless You until we all meet again. I would love for you to visit Willy at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/WILLY010/Resident.HTM. Daniel’s link is their also.

Hello Karen, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Doogie. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZIANN001/Resident.htm

I'm sorry for the loss of your beloved Doogie.

Dear Karen and Family, he's so beautiful and precious in his picture. What a wonderful blessing that Doogie was a part of your lives for many years. I have tears in my eyes as I write. Your words and memories show how very much Doogie was treasured and loved for all of those 18 years. Though it breaks our hearts when our little furbabies grow old and leave us for heaven's most beautiful meadow, we must always know that they have gone to a happy place where they are young and well again. Doogie now plays like that puppy you first brought home. He roams, chases, cuddles and naps with many new furfriends, knowing all along that he will be reunited with his earthly family someday. I know this is all true because my two kitties, Inky and Bubba Lou, are at the rainbow meadow, too. We will see our babies again someday, never to be parted for all of eternity. Blessings of healing and peace, dear friends. Please know that I understand and care. Jane

My Sidney was on the bridge to welcome Doogie to his new home. They are chasing sunbeams and telling "tails" of their great lives. I have asked them to send you a rainbow from heaven above, a upside down smile. When you miss Doogie the most, listen to your heart, his love and paw print are there.

They will not go quietly, the pets who've shared our lives. In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives. Old habits still can make us think we hear them at the door Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor. Our feet still go around the place the food dish use to be, And, sometimes, coming home at night, we miss them terribly. And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill, That one place in our hearts belongs to them.... and always will. - Author unknown. I am so sorry for your loss but I do hope that this poem offers you some comfort. Blessings………………….. Joyce

I just heard the sad news about Doogie, so sorry for your loss. Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them, filling an emptiness we don't know we have. With sincerest and most heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your four-legged friend.. You wonder how to get through the days as you're missing your friend in so many ways. But your sadness really does say a lot it's a telling sign of the love your Doogie got. I feel your pain, love you guys. I lost a treasured friend today The little dog who used to lay Her gentle head upon my knee And share her silent thoughts with me. She'll come no longer to my call, Retrieve no more her favorite ball A voice far greater than my own Has called her to His golden throne. And though my eyes are filled with tears, I thank Him for the happy years He let her spend down here with me, And for her love and loyalty.

Losing a member of the family is never easy and never replaced. Doogie was a sweetheart and I remember the times he ran with my rowdy crew of boys. Thoughts and love are with both of you and Cindy. Love, Judy

Doogie is much closer than you could imagine,Karen. I have written a true story of hope and inspiration for anyone who has ever loved a pet, called THE TALE OF WISDOM AND DELIGHT. It is being published by Solstice Books this month. If you drop me a message I will give you more details. For now, just know Doogie is as close to you as the next beat of your heart. Doogie - You are so very cute and so sweet to your family! You have left your family many endearing memories! Send your family some signs, kisses from the Rainbow to let them know that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many friends. Let mom and dad know that God has appointed you to be their guardian, protector to watch over them until they are called to join you at the Bridge. To Karen - I send my heartfelt sympathy to you over the loss of Doogie. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will be with our babies again. I leave this quote with you, "heaven is the only place where all the dogs and cats you have ever loved will come running to meet you." Author Unknown
