Well hello there Dood, I was just visiting some of my babies here at the bridge and came across your story. My heart always flutters when I read a story of another baby who was so blatantly discarded by a human. BUT God had another plan. I work in rescue and have 9 babies here 7 of which started out like you. I am sure I can take the liberty of speaking for your humans to say, " that even though they say we were the rescuers, we gained so much more in our hearts and homes to have had the privilege of being your humans." Rest well precious Dood and don't forget on your 6th anniversary in heaven in May to climb high to the tips of the bright and shining night stars to send your humans Lana and Chuck a very special bright night star to let them know you are with them always just inside their hearts.

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember how your baby’s paw prints touched your life, be the ones that bloom in your heart this Holiday Season. My prayer for all of us this blessed season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us during the Holidays. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it the most....And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved Doodsie bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your baby-angel would want for you this year...God bless, and best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty, DJ, Patches, and Momma’s mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

Hi Dood, I can tell how much your MOM loves you, just how much I love my Whimpy. I am learning to cope now, and I hope for your Mom (and Dad) at this time all the thoughts of you will only bring them smiles.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Dood. Please find comfort in knowing that Dood is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. Just recently on January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. Spooky never met Hannah but I am sure Spooky greeted Hannah at the bridge. I am sure that Dood, Spooky, and Hannah have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Hello, handsome Dood, welcome to the sunny meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Mommy and Daddy love and miss you...they made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words about you. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase sunbeams and rainbows and give you special kitty love headbumps. She'll show you wonders of Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind so Mommy and Daddy feel your loving presence with them and sweet kisses in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until they come to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask they not be so sad but treasure your memory and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints deep in their hearts forever. Play meadow games with furangels but stop often to smile at Mommy and Daddy so they feel the warmth of your love surround them and know you miss them and are with them. Soar among clouds on silvery new angel wings to watch over Mommy and Daddy always, beloved Doodsie. Pressy's Grandpa

But this isn't good bye, rather I'll see you again. Dood was certanily a gift from God, he found a way to get him to you. What a lucky litte guy he was to find such a great loving home. When your time comes to make that journey, he'll be there waiting for you. Dood will always be with you, in your hearts and his memories will forever be shining so brightly. Hugs. Lana & Chuck -- Dood couldn't have had better parents. He was cherished, loved, spoiled and definitely the "boss" of the house. He was such a sweet little boy. I know you will always miss him. But, you'll see him again someday at the Rainbow Bridge.

Lana and Chuck, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Dood and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. Please visit our Nikki Mae at: http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/NIKKI115/Resident.htm

I am so sorry that Dood had to leave to cross the bridge. They are not lost, just waiting for us. My best friends and companions went to the bridge, Willy two years ago and Daniel one year ago. My tears are flowing freely when I think of them. I know though, that they are all surely playing in the meadows, running and jumping now. Willy and Daniel loved the sunshine, and I hope that Dood does too. I believe that God would not have made a Heaven without our beloved companions there to meet us. I left an angel to look over Dood, as they are our special angels watching over us. I hope that your pain begins to turn to peace that fills your heart with nothing but wonderful memories. They make the days become a little less heartbreaking knowing that their hearts are always in ours. God Bless You until we all meet again. I would love for you to visit Willy at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/WILLY010/Resident.HTM. Daniel’s link is their also.

Dear Lana & Chuck I'm sorry for the loss of your Dood. Its funny that when we bring these guys into our lives we think we're doing them a favor. We get so much more in return. I lost my Finnbar in December.I understand how hard it is to say goodbye. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be. Until then Dood is waiting for you at the bridge in good company. Everyone is happy and healthy. There is so much room to run. Dood is having a ball all the while still keeping an eye on you. I hope he's met Finn by now. He's a cat but he's scrappy and he can catch. If you would care to visit my Finnbar http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/FINNB001/Resident.htm

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep. I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear, "It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here." I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea, You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me. I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore. I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more. I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care. I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there. I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key. I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said " it's me." You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there. It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday. To say to you with certainty, "I never went away." You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...

My Sidney was on the bridge to welcome Dodd to his new home. They are chasing sunbeams and telling "tails" of their great lives. I have asked them to send you a rainbow from heaven above, a upside down smile. When you miss Dodd the most listen to your heart, his love is there.

Dear Dood, you are truly cherished! Please go to the Bridge and send your precious love down the Rainbow straight into the hearts of your mommy and daddy who miss you so much, and they will send their love right back to you on angels' wings. Lana and Chuck, your world has lost a very special furperson, family member and friend, and heaven has welcomed home a very special soul. Dood, along with Bobby Boy and Suzee, is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as Katy and BG are watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May their sweet love continually hug your hearts until then, and may you find comfort in knowing that the silver thread of love that binds you heart to heart with Doodsie, Bobby Boy, Suzee and the others, will never be broken. Blessings and peace, Clare and Martha...Please visit our Katy at http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/KATY004/resident.HTM

For sweet Dood, I know that during your lifetime you gave Lana and Chuck much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness at Rainbows Bridge. From looking at the beautiful residency that Lana and Chuck created just for you and reading what was written for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Dood I have a wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Lana and Chuck, I just visited Dood's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I am sure if asked, Dood would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Last January I lost my little boy Pedro so I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Dood. Wishing you both all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom)
