"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel Dodi, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember how your baby’s paw prints touched your life, be the ones that surround you this Holiday Season. My prayer for all of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us during this blessed season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it the most....And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved fur-angel bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your baby-angel would want for you this year...Best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty, DJ & Patches mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 6 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Amy, what touching memories! I am so very sorry that Dodi had to leave to cross the bridge. They are not lost, just waiting for us. One of my best friends and companion of 16 years, Willy, went to the bridge in January. My tears still flow when I think of him. I know though, that Dodi and Willy are probably playing in the meadows, running and jumping now. I know Willy loved the sunshine and I hope that Dodi does too. I truly believe that God would not have made a Heaven without our beloved companions there to meet us. I have left an extra angel to look over Dodi, as they are our special angels watching over us. I hope that your pain begins to turn to peace that fills your heart with nothing but wonderful memories. They make the days become a little less heartbreaking knowing that their hearts are always with ours. God Bless You until we all meet again. I would love for you to visit Willy at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/WILLY010/Resident.HTM

Oh Amy, My heart goes out to you. I so understand all you went thru as my experience was similar to yours. I, too rescued my little one from the San Diego Humane Society. I had her for over 6 years, and she too had the enlarged heart symptoms your baby had. In the end, it was what took her life as she struggled to breath. I know your baby loved you so and was grateful for rescuing her. They pay us back so many times over. She sends her love down from the Rainbows Bridge. Her pawprint will forever be on your heart. Dodi,I hope you are having fun with your sister/cousin, Taboo. she has waited quite awhile for you to come play with her and keep her company until your human family joins you both. I don't know if your mommy ever told you that Taboo was actually her 1st baby. As you know, your mom is an amazing person. She saved Taboo and shared her with her sisters, your aunts, Lori & Natalie. And then she lovingly let her sisters take over Taboo's care when she went out into the world. Then she saved you and you helped save her in trying times. She is so compassionate and such a good cat parent. You were the most awesome cat for Amy. You were her pride & joy. I know you couldn't have been happier during your time on earth. You brought so much fun & life & happiness to all of us who knew you.You were my 1st grandson and I'll always love you.

Amy, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Dodi and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. Please visit our Nikki Mae at: http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/NIKKI115/Resident.htm

Dear Amy, your words are beautiful and such a loving tribute to a special little soulmate. I know the sorrow you are going through for both of my kitties left for the rainbow meadow two weeks apart after blessing my life for many years. My Bubba Lou was the same age as Dodi when he went to play in heaven's sunshine. I will tell both of my kitties, Inky and Bubba Lou, to welcome sweet Dodi to the meadow and they will play like kittens until we meet them at the bridge someday. May wonderful memories bring healing to your heart and may God bless you with comfort and peace. I understand and care.

Amy, I feel your pain. It is tough to lose a friend, companion, and anchor that had been with you for 14 years. I know when you felt like being home he would sit by the fire and watch the movies you picked without complaint, just happy to be with you. I looked up Dodi in the Urban Dictionary. The definition I liked was "The best of something." I think that describes what I know of Dodi. Dodi, thank you for being Amy's loyal non-demanding friend for 14 years. I know you are in a better place now. Dennis
