Mario, what a beautiful love story about a man and his best friend! I'm so sorry for your great loss. I can tell from your writing that Cross was indeed a special boy. It's as if God created him especially for you and sent him to you that fateful day. Thank you so much for signing Jake's guestbook and for your touching and comforting words. I appreciate it very much. Thank you for yout time and thoughfulness while you mourn also your recent loss of "Jazzy". I, too, hope Cross and Jazzy have met my Jake. May God bless you!

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed Crossy, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember how your baby’s paw prints touched your life, be the ones that bloom in your heart this Holiday Season. My prayer for all of us this blessed season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us during the Holidays. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it the most....And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved Cross bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your baby-angel would want for you this year...God bless, and best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty, DJ, Patches, and Momma’s mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

What an amazing story and life you and your baby had!! 20 years is a very long time for a dog and even better that it was 20 incredible years you had together. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I've had heelers my whole life and they are amazing dogs! We lost our red heeler, Buck, last October to cancer and it still feels like yesterday! God Bless u and your family! I read your story and just had to send my condolences!

Mario, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Cross and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. Please visit our Nikki Mae at: http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/NIKKI115/Resident.htm

Mario--I have tears for you....what a beautiful and moving tribute for your Crossy. The way you describe your bond with Cross is so heartfelt and genuine--I totally get it! I had my Joe Bud for almost 15 years, and could barely function after his passing. You were the BEST dad ever, and Cross knows you loved him. The picture of the two of you on the grass that last night just rips my heart out. I know Cross is watching over you from Heaven, and he is all new again...with new legs and everything in working order. I know by now my Joe Bud and your Crossy have found each other and are the best of friends. Thank you for being a wonderful dog dad....the world needs more people like you. God bless you and your family. PS: I, too, am lighting a candle for your boy.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Cross. Please find comfort in knowing that Cross is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. Just recently on January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. Spooky never met Hannah but I am sure Spooky greeted Hannah at the bridge. I am sure that Cross, Spooky, and Hannah have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Dear Cross I see you've been at the bridge for a time now. You are happy and healthy. You can run so fast it must be almost flying. There are woods to explore and meadows to lie in the sun. I know you have plenty of friends. Take a minute and send your Dad Mario a kiss on the warm spring breeze. He misses you so much. And if you run into a little cat with big ears named Finnbar, he can catch. So you guys can have a good time. Give him a kiss for me. I'm a little lost without him. http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/FINNB001/Resident.htm

Dear Cross, you are so handsome! Please go to the Bridge and send your precious love down the Rainbow straight into the heart of your daddy who misses you so much, and he will send his love right back to you on angels' wings. Mario, your world has lost a very special furperson, family member and friend, and heaven has welcomed home a very special soul. Cross, your Little Guy, is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as Katy and BG are watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May his sweet love continually nuzzle your heart until then, and may you find comfort in knowing that the silver thread of love that binds you heart to heart with Cross will never be broken. Blessings and peace, Clare and Martha...Please visit our Katy at http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/KATY004/resident.HTM

For Mario, I just visited Cross's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I am sure if asked, Cross would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. In January 2012 I lost my little boy Pedro so I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Cross. Losing Pedro taught me that no matter how much time passes, the love we feel for our furbabies is forever. Wishing you all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom)

Hello, handsome Cross, welcome to the sunny meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Daddy loves and misses you so...he made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words about you. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase golden sunbeams and colorful rainbows and give you special kitty love headbumps. She'll show you wonders of Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind so Daddy feels your loving presence with him and Cross kisses in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until he comes to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask he not be so sad but treasure memories of you and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints deep in his heart forever. Play meadow games with other furangels but stop often to smile at Daddy so he feels the warmth of your love surround him and knows you miss him too and are with him. Soar among clouds now on silvery new angel wings to watch over Daddy always, beloved Little Guy. Pressy's Grandpa
