Just wanted to stop by this Christmas Eve and say that I always think of you this time of year. I know your are free at the bridge now, I so wish that thinks would have turned out different for you, but now I know why..You are the angel for the Border Collies in Need Dogs that enter the bridge.I hope you have met Tami, poor girl was thrown away by her owner after they saw she had a cancer tumor on her lower jaw.She was found wandering the streets and was picked up by the shelter. They called BCIN, we picked her up, gave her chicken, took her to the park to run and play, sang Christmas songs in the car during transport and then took her for her much needed vet consultation, and sadly there was nothing that could be done.Suz cried when she got the results, and held Tami, tail wagging the whole time as she gently passed on to the bridge. We named her Tami, she had a name, she belonged to us, she had a fun morning and mostly, she knew love again before she left us. Much love to you both~Hugs

You know, Chevelle, I just wanted to stop by on the one year anniversary since you have been at the Bridge on behalf of the volunteers at BCIN. You are the fuel that keeps us all going on our rescue mission of all the Border Collies at the Shelters. We all think of you often and wish things could have been different for you. In the last year, we have lost a few of our beloved Border Collies, like Max and Kai, but it sure brings us comfort to know that you are welcoming them and caring for them on the other side. We learned so much from you, Chev, and your memory is with us still and always will be. Be well and we hope you are enjoying life at the Bridge! Greg, especially sends his love. Til next time, Chev, we all love you!

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel Chevy, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember how your baby’s paw prints touched your life, be the ones that surround you this Holiday Season. My prayer for all of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us during this blessed season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it the most....And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved fur-angel bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your baby-angel would want for you this year...Best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty, DJ & Patches mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 6 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Chevelle. Please find comfort in knowing that Chevelle is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I am sure that Chevelle and Spooky have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Christy, I just visited beautiful Chevelle. It proves all living things give love to those who love them. Why was she given to the rescue? that's so sad for her to lose a 6 year home. And for her to pass away 3 months after she found a loving family. What a tragedy. I know the pain of losing a beloved pet, I lost my precious Bichon, Amor July 1, 2010. Its easier but I still miss her and think of her everyday. Please visit Amor at Rainbow Bridge to see my little girl, also a rescue. Take care, God bless. Christy--Chevy was very fortunate to have her as her "forever" forever mom. She knew you would be the one to enjoy the rest of her life with. But no matter what and for whateve reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know Chevy is happy and healthy with Oreo,Ralph and all of their friends while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge. I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

Christy, I am so sorry for your loss of Chevelle. What a beautiful story that has been written about this very special girl. I am so happy that Chevelle found a forever home and that she had these precious months together with her new family that so loved her. God so blesses us with these beautiful little souls and leaves us with so many happy memories. Chevelle, I hope you have met Angel, who we just lost 3 weeks ago and that you two are running and playing in the warm sunshine. God Bless, Diana Day

Dear Christy and all of Chevelle's earthly family and friends: It breaks our hearts when these precious little soulmates leave us for the rainbow meadow but we know that they go to a beautiful place. I know and understand the sorrow you are feeling for I lost both of my purkitties two weeks apart after having them for many years. Sweet Chevelle, along with my Inky and Bubba Lou, are well and happy, and playing like puppies and kittens in heaven's sunshine. We will see our little departed ones at the bridge someday. May wonderful memories of Chevelle heal your broken hearts and may God bless you all for the love and compassion you have given this precious furbaby.
