Hi, for now I'm done crying...for now. I just wanted to clarify that NO pet or animal goes to hell. If they are not asked with Faith to God for resurrected bodies into heaven, they and their memory vanish. They never go to hell (like some people). So, let's ask God with Faith to help us find our pets in heaven. Yes, it's for sure real. It's not a story. It's very real. If God isn't more real than a person sitting next to you, you really, REALLY need to pray more, humbly and honestly. Try Catholic Mass. Read. Stop watching t.v. and pray the Rosary, pray. God is good and He sees our pain. God likes to talk. Learn to listen to His voice. I cried tonight because I love my dog and the other pets too. He felt it. He says read the Bible tonight. I sure will. Good night and God bless and everyone has my condolences on their pet and human people losses Repent of sin heaven and God is real and soon you'll know it too. Be prepared. Say, "Lord, help me reach heaven and be with my pet(s). Thanks."

I found comfort as I read your poem despite my tears for a boxer dog my own Butch who was put to sleep due to cancer. He died at age 6. I too believe in God and we must with FAITH, ASK for the miracle of reunion of our pets in heaven. Yes, heaven and hell are real and when we do these 2 thing (Faith and ask God) the Lord God resurrects them and puts them in heaven...for us.

Hello. I don't know you but my brother's best friend of 20 years died last night, July 8, 2012. I told him about Rainbow Bridge and that got me to wondering if any other people had a dog friend named Butch. I had a dog years and years ago we named Butch, who was given to my children by a man in a van..which is another story). Butch ended up to be a girl even tho they were told it was a boy! She gave us much love. She gave us a puppy who we raised after an accident when our sweet Butch was hit by a car. We had her puppy for 16 years, his name was Tippy. He was so much like his Mom... I loved them both so much. So I ended up here..to say I am sorry for the loss of your Butch. You don't need to write if you choose not to. I just felt the need to come to Rainbow Bridge because of my brothers loss tonight. Bye now and God Bless.

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened" -Anatole France - I have found such profound truth in that statement.... I believe in my heart, that is why we never forget the joy, the love, the very presence of our babies even after they've gone. You see, the part of us they've awoken simply never again falls asleep inside us! Instead, the cherished memories of their love, their very "presence" in our lives, keeps their flame eternally glowing in our hearts, no matter how little...or how long of a time has gone by since they've left our side.... May Butch's flame continue to gently glow and shine eternally in your heart...The poem at Butch's site is one of the most beautiful poems I've ever read....It was very well written, indeed...God Bless...My best wishes for a happy Holiday Season this year to you and your entire family, from the Rainbow and beyond, Karen....Dusty's mommy..... http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

Butch - you must have been a great one because your family loves you so much! Send them some kisses from the Rainbow to let them know you are safe, happy, healthy and have made many fur friends to play with. Let mom and dad know that God has appointed you to be their guardian, protector to watch over them until they are called to the Bridge one day to join you. I will tell my Brande to find you and play with you. To Gary and Vicki - I send you my deepest regrets over the loss of Butch. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will be with our babies again one day. I leave this quote with you, "heaven is the only place where all the dogs and cats you have ever loved will come running to meet you." Author Unknown

Gary & Vicki, Butch is your very own special angel, watching over and for you, just as BG is watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May his love nuzzle and hug your hearts until then.

Butch - what a beautiful poem. Gary and Vicki - Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your furbaby. I had to have my baby put down not too long ago so I know how very hard it is. I believe our babies know we will always carry them in our hearts. And if we do happen to get another baby (as most of us do) they know it's because they taught us how to love, and it makes them smile.
