Thank you for sharing this here. I have just lost my beloved Squiggles last night, and it hurts so much. There's an emptiness in the corner. I have no other piggies and I'm thinking of getting another because looking around the garden and the house and not seeing him hurts so much. Thank you for sharing again.

Dear Clarissa, My deepest sympathies for your loss. You clearly loved Buttercup with all your heart and soul:) I lost my Maddie last year four days before Christmas..so this coming Christmas (12-20-2012) will be the one year anniversary of her passing. I was with Maddie to the end...even in the "gas box"...horrific...Maddie just would NOT let go..she fought for 2 minutes trying not to let the "gas" overtake her. It's amazing how sweet, innocent souls like our piggies can be so determined, strong, and resilient when they want to be...that's what I love about all Gpigs:) I still cry almost every day over Maddie and have trouble visiting her "grave"...not sure why. From everything you wrote about Buttercup, it's so similar to Maddie. Oh gosh, how she loved her carrots and an apple treat every night. They trained us well:) I have no doubt in the next life, we will take part in caring for them once more in luscious fields of fresh green hay:) hugs<3

CLARISSA ON THIS THE 1ST ANNIVERSARY AND MOTHER DAY COMEING UP I SEND YOU A RED ROSE IN BUTTERCUP NAME
From: Karen (Dusty, DJ & Patches' mom)
On: 12/12/11

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel Buttercup, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember how your baby’s paw prints touched your life, be the ones that surround you this Holiday Season. My prayer for all of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us during this blessed season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it the most....And may each love-filled memory you have of your fur-angel bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your dear fur-angel would want for you this year...Best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty, DJ & Patches mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 6 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Clarissa, how sweet! I am so very sorry that Buttercup had to leave to cross the bridge. They are not lost, just waiting for us. One of my best friends and companion of 16 years, Willy, went to the bridge in January. My tears still flow when I think of him. I know though, that she and Willy are probably playing in the meadows, running and sniffing now. I know Willy loved the sunshine and I hope that she might too. I truly believe that God would not have made a Heaven without our beloved companions there to meet us. I have left an extra angel to look over Buttercup, as they are our special angels watching over us. I hope that your pain begins to turn to peace that fills your heart with nothing but wonderful memories. They make the days become a little less heartbreaking knowing that their hearts are always with ours. God Bless You until we all meet again. I would love for you to visit Willy at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/WILLY010/Resident.HTM

Clarissa, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Buttercup and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. Clarissa--what a cute little furry. They can make a great impact on us no matter how long we have them. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving thier forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know Butter cup is happy and healthy playing with Oreo,Ralph and their friends while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge. I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

Hello Clarissa, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Buttercup. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on there memory and begin to celebrate there life. Please take comfort in knowing that one day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander in July 2008 & have attached his link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm
