Hi Dan and Dee, I can see how truly affected you are, your Bretta was obviously your soul mate and I know how it feels to lose a soul mate. You had a love with Bretta that you wont find anywhere else and it makes it so much harder to lose them when you have such a strong bond. You wont ever get over Bretta but you will learn to live with that grief as time goes by, I lost my soul mate a little over a year ago so I know how hard it is. The milestones, holidays, birthdays, they're all hard, and all the firsts without her will be hard too and it takes time for it to get easier. I too never felt that love for any other dog that I felt and still feel for Jasper, and people tell you you have the memories but they're not the same, you will just want her back and it takes time to accept that they're actually not coming back, but in time you will be able to look at her photos with a smile on your face. Dan/Dee...a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Bretta is a beautiful girl and very lucky to h ave you as her forever frilly. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know she is happy, healthy and playing with Oreo, Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them at the Bridge. I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care..

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Bretta. Please find comfort in knowing that Bretta is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, and Shelby 6/12/18. I am sure that Bretta and my babies have all become good friends.
