Paul... a beautiful tribute to a great friend who is very lucky to have you. Bongo is a beautiful boy. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know he is happy, healthy and playing with Oreo, Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them at the Bridge. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Bongo. Please find comfort in knowing that Bongo is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19 and Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20. Paul - I am so sorry for your loss of Bongo - he looks like a sweet boy. So glad you were able to get him and the help he needed & have so many memories to help you through the rough spots. I had the pleasure of being Bongo's nanny for years and I fell in love with him immediately. The love he gave was returned fully. I was with him a lot over the last several years and was with him right up until February 4. My heart hurt for him as I watched him struggle to stand and walk. Not knowing it was going to be our last time together I nonetheless kissed him and told him he was a "good dog" then had a cry once I got to my car. I'll miss him as I continue to nanny his brothers. For sweet Bongo, I know that during your lifetime you gave Paul much joy. Now I am wishing you lots and lots of happiness playing in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at your photo and at the beautiful residency that Paul created just for you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Bongo, I have another wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Paul, I just visited your Bongo's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious Fur Angel.
