HAPPY BIRTHDAY sweet girl. I know you're out of pain and running happy and free with Zeus and Rock. I think of you all the time, my sweet baby and I love you just as much as I did while you were here, giving me kisses and destroying my door jams. Lol. Sometimes I close my eyes and remember your kisses. I remember how one little pet would turn into a full body massage and petting session that youd force on us and that would last for 5 hours if we let it. Lol. You loved to be loved and even let us rub your paws. I miss you sleeping at my feet and following me to every room. I miss you running up to me when I came through the door. Even when you were sick and so tired you'd still try to get up to come to me. I did everything I could to make you comfortable, my baby. I know your a healthy puppy again and that makes me so happy. HAPPY BIRTHDAY sweet girl. 🎂 I miss you and love you always. Come and see me in my dreams, I love you

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Athena. Please find comfort in knowing that Athena is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th, 2001, after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13, Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19, Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20, and Firefly 12/20/22. I am sure that Athena and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Heidi.. a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Athena is a beautiful girl. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know she is happy, healthy and playing with Oreo, Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them at the Bridge. I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care.. Kathy 🐶 😼🌈

Athena and family... Reading your story of Heidi's progression mirrored the path my 12 yr old Golden took this winter. The same slowness and how we adjusted to her quick aging...and eventual cancer diagnosis. The carpets, the body harness, the multiple dog beds.. We do what we can do and thats then we do our best. Bless you for being her family. I am so very sorry for your loss. Your home must seem so empty now..and so quiet. Please know I am holding you close to my heart as yours begins to slowly heal. Godspeed sweet Heidi..what a GOOD girl you are! (((hugs)))

I am very sorry for your loss of sweet Athena. I hope the joyful memories will bring some comfort during this difficult time as you adjust to new routines without your precious pup. Play hard at the Bridge Athena, and I left you an extra serving of french fries.

I am so sorry for your loss of Athena. My heart goes out to you as I know you are struggling so with the loss of your precious baby. Your world has lost a very special baby, family member and friend, but the heavens have welcomed home a very special soul. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. I know you had a special relationship with Athena that will always be a part of you. I pray that my sweet little girl, Bailey, found Athena and they have become friends. May the precious love you shared with Athena continue to warm your heart and I hope you find peace and comfort knowing that your love will bind you together forever. Peace and blessings to you. My precious Bailey left our world December 5th, 2013 and we miss her so. Please visit my Bailey at http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/BAILE364/Resident.htm

Dear Heidi, I just read Athena's memorial and it was absolutely beautiful! It is obvious that she was loved every minute of every day of her 14 years with you! How lucky you were to have each other for that long! I'm sure she will come and visit with you often just to check up on you! I hope that all of your memories with your beautiful Athena bring you some measure of comfort at this sad time! As long as you keep her in your heart she will never be gone! One day we will all be reunited with our babies and what a joyous day that will be! I am actually envious that you had 14 years with your sweet girl because I only had 3 1/2 with my boy Timber. But as I said, they are always with us as long as we keep them in our heart and never stop talking about them!

What a truly beautiful eulogy. I was in tears. It was wonderful that you were with Athena when she made her transition, and she wasn’t alone. She passed in peace and with love. We should all be so fortunate. I’m sure she will come to you in your dreams, and that she’ll live on forever in your heart.

For sweet Athena, I know that during your lifetime you gave Heidi much joy. Now I am wishing you lots and lots of happiness playing in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at your photo and reading what Heidi wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Athena, I have another wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Heidi, I just visited your Athena's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious Fur Angel. I am sure if asked, Athena would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Having lost my little dog Pedro I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Athena. Wishing you all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom).

Heidi: A sweet and wonderful companion is never forgotten and always loved. May memories of Athena always bring warmth and contentment into your soul as you reflect on a life so well lived. Soar with the angels - you are free and watching over your terrific Mommy, your angel on earth.

Hello, pretty Athena Goehring, welcome to sunny Paradise meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Mommy loves and misses you so...she made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase colorful rainbows and give you special kitty love headbumps. She'll show you Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind so Mommy feels your loving presence with her and sweet kisses in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until she comes for you one day to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask she not be so sad but treasure memories of you and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints deep in her heart forever. Play happy meadow games with other furangels but stop often to smile at Mommy so she feels the warmth of your love surround her and knows you miss her too and are with her. Soar among clouds now on silvery new angel wings to watch over Mommy always, beloved sweet Athena. Pressy's Grandpa
