Lisa, I am sorry to know about your Andy. The story you wrote about him is kind of like mine with my Baby Bee. I too had to make the decision to let her go. She was a small poodle, but one that could not get adopted because of her age. She too became my shadow, my everything. I know and understand this special breed. Sending you thoughts of strength as you move forward in the days that follow.

Andy was such a cutie. Great pictures, especially the one of him running with his ears flapping upwards! R.I.P. little one. You had a good life here. There are no brooms on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Lisa, I was drawn to read your memorial for Andy because your loss was recent & you are in Georgia as I am. I just lost my precious Camille, also a rescue, just a few weeks ago and I'm truly heartbroken. It does help a little to hear about someone else's loss and to feel a little less alone. I hope to eventually adopt another rescue but for now my grief is so raw I can tell I'm not ready. Best wishes for your continued healing, Diane

Dear Lisa, I know you loved Andy so very much. I also understand how hard it is to lose a pet that means everything to you. I loved reading your story and how you decided to keep him and then you both formed a magical bond. Andy learned what it was like to be truly cared for, how to trust and he learned to love you and give you his heart. I'm so sorry that you had to say "Bye for now". Andy will always remain in your heart until you see him again.

Lisa, I am sorry for the loss of your little angel Andy. He was so grateful for the great care and nice home you gave him when he needed it most. I hope he meets up with my Murphy so they can play together in the warm sunshine. BTW, Murphy didn't like the broom or vacuum either. It was probably something that happened to him before I adopted him.♥

Dear Lisa, Your beautiful, eloquent, loving and perfectly expressed tribute to Andy brought tears to my eyes. Judging from the photographs, Andy could not have been more adorable, sweet, loving, and loved in return. He is such a sweetie pie, and I am very sorry for your loss. Those of us who are here also feel as you do, our pets are family members, and we love them dearly. I hope it brings you some small comfort to know that those of us that visit this site are with you in heart and spirit. May you always feel that close bond with Andy, and know that the love you share is eternal. With a caring and loving heart, Grace xoxox

So sorry for your loss of Andy. What a comical baby. I love that pic of him playing in the water sprinkler he had a smile on his face. Great memories. May they carry you through this tough time. Never easy saying goodbye. But I look forward to the day we get to run with our babies again. God Bless

Dear Lisa, I can see the happiness Andy gave you for ten years with all the unconditional love and loyalty they have for their humans. I do hope those precious memories will help your heart to heal and that Andy's legacy will live on in the adoption of another animal. I have two rescued and if possible will rescue more. Blessings.

Lisa, I’m sorry for your loss. Know that you are not alone. I, too, have lost a beloved pet; everyone in this website have. We know you’re hurting, and we’re here for you. We feel the pain that you feel; we’ve suffered the loneliness that you suffer, at not having our beloved pet by our side anymore. But we all feel the same relief---that where our beloved pets are now, they’re safe, and happy, and content, whatever afflicted them in this life is gone. And we all share the same hope---one day, we will be together again with our beloved ones. My baby, a female Beagle named River, left for Rainbow Bridge on March 21, 2017; here she is now--- https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/RIVER002/Resident.htm

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Andy. Please find comfort in knowing that Andy is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. On March 20, 2017 my sweet little calico Gabbi crossed over Rainbow's Bridge. I adopted her about a month after Spooky passed away and Gabbi also lived to be almost 16 years old. I am sure that Andy and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Hi Lisa, I love the memorial you have set up for your beautiful Andy!! It sure was his lucky day when you saw him at the shelter and it was wonderful that you decided to take him home alnd foster him. It sounds like he had such a happy life with you! You gave him the wonderful gift of a loving family. Andy must have thought he hit the jackpot and I know that he gave you his whole heart in return. I'm so sorry for your huge loss. I believe that we will be reunited with our precious pets someday and for you and Andy that will such an amazing reunion! In the meantime, your angel dog just made heaven a more beautiful place. 🌟

I am so sorry you lost your Andy. I know you feel like your heart is forever broken but don’t ever forget he will be right by your side watching over you. When I lost my heart dog, Sarah Sue, all I wanted to do is be with her, wherever she was. Sounds crazy to people who haven’t ‘been there’, so instead I sat at my keyboard and typed for hours, her whole story, from beginning to end. I keep it in a very special place. She went to the Rainbow Bridge 8 years ago and I read it whenever I need her beside me.. They never do truly ever leave us. They take a piece of our hearts but leave us with a larger piece of theirs. My favorite quote: What we have enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." -- Helen Keller
