Akio- I hope you have met my Johnny- he is a cream pt himalayan-he went to the bridge on 1/13/10. He also passed from CRF but he was older than you. He was a rescue cat and I loved him dearly. I also stuggled with treatments for him just like you were getting. One day your Mom and you will be reunited at the bridge for eternity. Nancy(Johnny's Mom)

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened" -Anatole France - I have found such profound truth in that statement.... Perhaps in part, that is why we never forget the joy, the love, the very presence of our babies even after they've gone. You see, the part of us they've awoken simply never again falls asleep inside us. Instead, the cherished memories keep their flame eternally glowing in our hearts, no matter how little...or how long of a time has gone by since they've left our side....May Akio's flame forever shine in your heart, Kathleen... With sympathy as you've just passed one year since you lost your baby...Karen (Dusty's mommy)

Akio - I am so sorry that you were so ill, but you had a good mommy who tried so hard to save you. Show her your love by sending her some kisses and signs from the Rainbow that you are safe, happy, healthy (no more fluid injections) and that you now feel like playing with a lot of friends. Let mom know that God has given you an important mission to watch over the family and to protect them from harm. If you see my Brande I am sure she will share some carrots with you!

Kathleen, I'm truly sorry about Akio. Sometimes words aren't enough . Do our little loved ones actually know what they do to us by leaving? i lost my little dog 8 months ago--it was sudden--he went into total kidney failure, and his condition deteriorated so badly in one day, that i had to have him euthanized. One day to lose all i had, and to wonder how it could happen. I'm a nurse and worked for 28 years in hospitals, and believe me when i say he gave no signs that he was so sick. Now i'm lost without him and sad all the time. So i hope you know that there are others out there that know what our little ones' meant to us. I'm really sorry for your loss. maybe Akio will meet my Caleb. We loved them dearly. c.lawrence mahanoy city pennsylvania

I am so sorry for your loss! Reading your story about Akio made me think of what I just went through with my baby. I know that God doesn't give us that kind of love and take it away forever. I will say a special prayer to my baby to find Akio and they can play until they are in our arms crossing that bridge. God Bless Kenna - Peabody's Mom

Akio you must have been an awfully special cat to be cared for for so very long by the human whom you adopted to be yours. I hope now you are enjoying a time when you feel well and frolic and play your time away at the Bridge. I am sure your Mom misses you very much, but she will always always love you in a very special way that is ALL yours.

I am so sorry to hear of Akio's struggle so survive. I have been through the same thing with three kitties. I've been without Dennis now for over two years. I undrestand your feelings. Please visit Dennis' Rainbow Bridge page. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Denni002/Resident.htm There may be other kitties that come into your life but they will all have their own personalities.

Precious Akio....I'm so glad you're healthy again...you and Ralphie have a lot in common and can swap stories about sub-q fluids - he got them for four years! You were such a brave baby and your mommy sure took excellent care of you...visit her often and let her know you're okay and forever in love with her. God bless you...angel kisses - Maria.
