To Abby, I read your entire story your mommy wrote about you. Looked at your beautiful pictures too. You were a very special little girl. When you get a minute stop and reach down with your paw and touch your mommy's heart. Let her know that you are whole again and that you may not be by her side but you are near. You are in her heart. Tell her to think that every time her heart beats, it's you telling her you are right here. And when the time is right, you will meet her at the bridge.

Dear Alan and Joy: Offering empathy for you, with my witness and condolences as Abby died. Thank you for the opportunity to stop by Abby's memorial page! I loved reading about your life together- it was especially awesome to hear of the incredible ordeals you went through together with Abby's health and all those complications. Her beautiful smile and her expressive, loving presence as seen in her pictures must have really kept you going! I am sure you feel sad sometimes, and whether sad or happy memories come, Abby will be with you as long as you remember her! -Megan, Philadelphia PA (with Dexter "Big Essie" the Bernese mountain dog and Rinchen the Chow Chow)

Dear Joy I just went to visit with Abby. She was a beautiful girl. She looks so gentle and kind. I know how you must feel. Your Abby went a few weeks ahead of Benjamin. I'm sure Abby was there to greet Benjamin and now they are playing together until we are with them in heaven. Take care, Joy and Alan. Blessings, Doreen

Alan/Joy..Abby is a beautiful girl....a beautiful tribute for a great friend. It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us and labs leave them like no other. She is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten. I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

I am so sorry for the loss of your baby - Prayers for you and your family Our babies are always with us whether here on Earth or up in Heaven, always watching over us. Their uncondtional love for us does not stop just because their body does. No more pain or suffering for them - and their love for us is as strong as ever, just as our love for them is. Soon you will all be together again and going over the rainbow together, which is where your lives’ really begin

Hi Abby, you are a beauty. My Lola arrived in heaven a couple of weeks after you. I hope you both become good friends. I can tell by your eyes you're a good soul and my Lola is too. I know how your Mommy feels, because we both had to say goodbye to the loves of our lives. Visit her often in her dreams as Lola does with me. It will make her feel better. Tell Lola momma loves her. Bye Abby! I'll leave you a gift.

Abby is beautiful. My Oakley was never without a tennis ball in her mouth. She and Abby are having a great time. And they are waiting for us. My husband passed away in 200I. He is watching out for Abby and Oakley. Love Gina

Alan & Joy, I was deeply moved by your story of dear Abby - with you for a decade of happiness - and a full life regardless of her surgical problems. She must have enjoyed swimming so much: like running in water! I am sorry for her passing which must have been indescribably painful for you: tearing your soul apart - meaning the breaking of your heart! Only those of us who have held our beloved fur/feather-children in our arms - and said goodbye - can understand this level of pain! It is the awful price of love we pay for all the years of unconditional love so freely lavished on us by a pure and devoted heart: who loves beyond human love - accepting us as we are (not as they think we ought to be!). Such love is a rare gift of God which a few of us are privileged to experience in our life-time. It is the beginning of a friendship that spans this life and the next - where Abby will be waiting to continue the relationship in Heaven with her parents - where there is no pain - or parting.

Dear Alan & Joy, my heartfelt condolences on Abby's passing. What a lovely tribute to a dear and beloved family member. I know the heartache you feel is hard to bear at times, so I pray that in time you will begin healing.
