Kilkie

| I lost a friend today and my heart is breaking. I knew 2yrs ago, when I first met her, that she would have a profound effect on me and we would become the greatest of friends. From the moment we met, she would borrow my slippers, socks, shoes and such. She would greet me eagerly when I would return home from work or would stop by to visit when I stayed home. Sometimes we had long conversations and played ball together. Some nights we'd keep each other company. My friends name was Kilkie. The most beautiful, sweetest dog. Full of personality, Kilkie had an endearing effect on everyone she met and rarely met a stranger. I still listen for her bark in the morning and throughout the day. Sometimes I think I hear her scratch at my door. And then I remember she gone. I lost a friend today and my heart is breaking. |
