my clover

You came to me a little gray and white fluff of love Naming you clover made the irish angels rejoice above Sometimes you were difficult and had people talking How could I love such a cat and not send you walking But my love for you grew and just never waivered and your mews and purrs were rewards that I savored You were my baby and I'd have done anything to save you But the years can sneak up and test what we always knew That someday our time together would end with many tears Just know my sweet angel I'd never have traded any of our years I stroked your soft fur as you closed your green eyes I love you my Clover till we meet again this isn"t goodbye |
