BANDIT


Three weeks old when we first met,
My love for you already set.
Emerald eyes in a gentle face,
At catching flies you were ace

The years we had were such good fun,
Down the hill you would run.
Fetching balls your favourite toy,
Bringing home worms gave you joy.

Bedtime was a special treat,
Tucked in my arms you'd fall asleep.
In my mind I'd feel you near,
A minute later you'd appear.

With love & kindness in your heart,
The time has come for us to part.
The days are dark the nights are long,
It's hard to believe that you're really gone.

Every night I'll send my love,
While you look down from the sky above.
In my heart you'll always be,
My beautiful boy flying free.
