| My Tribute to Sport Hello Sport, I think that you can hear me Your loyalty extends beyond the grave Although you are gone, your Spirit is still with me, I cherish all the momories I save. You came to me, so trusting and so gentle, You seemed to know me like a special friend. And even though you are gone, you are always with me. That precious love we shared will never end. The love I had for you was overwhelming And even though you could not speak a word. Your brown eyes said so much. You understood me. The power of that love, was what you heard. We trialed and you would never disappoint me. You showed the judges all that you could do. I saw that, as your trainer, you were brilliant, And as your Mom, I was so very proud of you. We would visit many schools, and frightened children Would loose their fear of dogs because of you. Your gentle loving nature would win them over. Erasing any fear they ever knew. Now SPIRIT walks the road that you once travelled. Exploring all the places you would roam, He knows you well, for he can feel your presence. You live in every corner of our home. And through the years where I went you would follow. My bodyguard,companion, trusting one. You left this world, but in my heart you must know, You will live forever, as my Canine Son. ..................................... |
