She was such a wonderful example of unconditional love
I believe that she must have been sent from Above
To love me and comfort me through good times and bad
When I was happy and when I was sad

I hope that I showed her how I loved her so
It is so very hard for me to let my girl go
But I know that such friends cannot last forever
So fond and special memories I will always remember

My Sammi I truly do hope that you know
That because of you I have let my love grow
And now I do know the joy of having a pet
And even if there's another, it is you I will never forget

There has to be a special place of rest
For those of your four legged friends who have loved you the best
I know that you are happy and free
And enjoying your rest while looking down on me
