by Barbara Lazzaro.........................................
| April was brought to us from Maine from the Doxie rescue foundation. She lived 9 years with her mistress who was old. When the woman passed the children did not want her and she was abused. She was put into a kill-shelter. We applied for a rescue dog. The same time April came across the Orient Point Ferry[from Conneciticut to Long Island New York] to our home in Mattituck LI Ny was the day my husband Joe came home from the hospital with quadruple by pass surgery. April and Joe bonded she just turned 19 on 4/1 still eats goes out and sleeps a lot she is blind and almost deaf but manages. Thanks, Barbara |
