Shadow

Melissa called me crying, she had just released Shadow into Jesus' arms. He had been sick for 6 months or more, and was very unhappy. He was a one woman cat, which is to say that he didn't like anyone but Melissa. When he was on the drugs, he was happy, but when they would start to wear off, he would limp and be sad. It was no life for him to have to go for shots every two weeks. He would always flip out at the Vet's office. He hated being poked and prodded at...even now, when it was time to leave, he fought very hard. I loved Shadow, even though he lived 2000 miles away, I would always visit with him, and I do think that he liked me, too. Cats understand cat people, and like them, too. Shadow...you were only 5 years old, and you were beautiful. We will all miss you! |
