Memories of LITSA

Litsa, born April 10, 2006, was rescued by the KAZ Shelter (www.kazshelter.org) in Greece and was rehomed in Canada via the Tails from Greece Rescue rehoming program (www.tailsfromgreecerescue.com). Being abandoned and tossed over the shelter's fence in June 2006 at only 2 months of age, left Litsa with many fears in her short life and we were all so happy when she finally joined our family on Sunday, November 11, 2007. Unfortunately Litsa's fears took over without warning and she bolted from our home when a relative was coming to visit and she was hit by a car. Litsa was rushed to the vet hospital but, sadly, she passed away before arriving there. Litsa was only 1 1/2 years old; such a short troubled life she had. We wish she could have stayed with us much longer so she would have had chance to know a loving home. Although we're very sad that Litsa's no longer with us, we take comfort is knowing that she no longer has to be afraid and will now be safe forever. She's finally at peace from within. Litsa will remain forever in our hearts, even though her time with us was way too short. And lastly, we would like to thank Vana, Fifi, Connie and Katie who all cared and loved Litsa during her stay with them at the KAZ Shelter .... without them looking out for her, she would not have entered our lives. We miss you very much sweet Litsa and send you all our love, Mom, Dad & William and your new fur-friends, Ares & Skye
