Memories of Willow
It has taken me a month to be able to write about our beloved kitty Willow's passing. He was the most gentle and kind hearted kitty I've ever known! I don't remember a time in his life where he ever growled at anyone including his fellow fur family. His birth Ma Ma past almost exactly a year ago. She was 17 and although she was older it was unexpected. Willow and his brother took it really hard. A month after her passing he started to consume large amounts of water so I took him in to the vet and he was diagnosed with kidney disease. We immediately put him on a prescription diet and did everything the vet said to prolong his life. He was doing well until around February. Kidney disease is just awful and I wish they had dialysis and kidney transplants for animals because we would have paid anything to save his life! I helped his Ma Ma bring him into this world and I was holding him when he took his last breath. It was heartbreaking and emotionally debilitating losing him. He grew up with my children who are now adults. It's not fair that our fur babies live such a short time compared to us. It breaks my heart. We love you our sweet boy and we will all be together again someday. Until then we will always keep you close to our hearts and think about all of the beautiful memories and happiness you brought to each and every one of us! Love, Mommy, Daddy, Megan, Taylor, Arlo, Vue, and Ben.
