Memories of Thud

The Thud was loyal, protective, and most importantly, sensitive. He was great with kids and people. He was the smartest dog I have ever had, and he knew what kind of mood I was in and would act accordingly. I was a better man with him as my dog. Thud and I were together before I got married and had a family. He accepted and loved my family from the start. He won my wife's heart over and became very loyal to her. I ache all over not having you around. I was glad I gave you a good home and I know one day we will meet again. Take care old friend. Remember that I am always thinking of you and the how happy you made us when you were here. I think of you often and what went on during the years we spent together. I hope you are happy and that their is truly a place like rainbow bridge where you are in no pain, young at heart and able to chase down tennis balls with the determination of when you were three years old. A year has past and we still miss and think of you. I am thinking of you today cuz this was the day you died. It has been two years since you died and I wanted to tell you I am thinking of you. Christie has taken your spot in bed with me so I don't get lonely. I thought you would like to know that. I miss the strength you gave me. Do me a favor and look for Fritzie he is going to be looking for you and Dutch. I know it will make Ron feel better knowing your looking out for the Fritz. It has been 6 years since you left and I think of you often. I just wanted to write to you and tell you I miss you and I feel very lucky to have had you for the time we had.
