Memories of Flower

We had Flower put to sleep today. She was diagnosed with a tumor on her thymus gland back a couple weeks ago. We had been treating her for respiratory problems for the six weeks we had her and it wasn't until this diagnosis that we realized she wouldn't get well. The past three days, she stood up on her little log and leaned on a toy bar in order to be able to breathe. She would actually fall asleep standing up. She had such a severe infection that there was a bad smell coming from her nose and the last day she was breathing with her mouth open. We tried one last ditch attempt at healing her by taking her to an energy healer. I believe that put her at peace, because she didn't struggle today in going to the vet. We were so sorry to lose her. Any of you that knew her know she was very sweet and gentle, always. We hope she is enjoying a good life now free of pain, and that we will meet her on the other side some day.
