Memories of Sasha
Sasha was my beautiful girl...one of her nicknames was Miss Pretty. She had gorgeous green eyes and soft black and white fur. She had soft fur, but an insistent meow and head-butt. When she wanted attention, you knew it.

She was my constant companion, along with her sister, Zoe, all through the lockdowns during COVID. She attended many conference calls with me -- and my co-workers loved to see her and her sister -- though Sasha made many more appearances, because she would jump on to the back of my office chair or into my lap.

Sometimes, she would appear out of nowhere as soon as I got on the phone. My sister and I would laugh because she could hear Sasha meowing for attention when we tried to talk on the phone. She loved treats - especially cheese. There wasn't a catnip toy she didn't bring to me with a loud meow in the middle of night "look what I found, mom!" She loved to cuddle and sit on my lap as I watched TV or read a book. My lap will be a little colder now...

She suffered a "saddle thrombus" suddenly while I was on a trip home from vacation, and thanks to the heroic efforts of my pet sitter, they were able to keep her comfortable until I could get home to her to say goodbye.

I love her with all of my heart, and Zoe and I are devastated by her passing. I hope that my other fur baby, who has been at the Rainbow Bridge for a while now, will meet Sasha there and show her the ropes until we are together again.
I love and miss you, my Sasha, my Sashie, my Miss Pretty...oxoxox
