Memories of Rosie Haskins
I remember the day you came home. Mom and Dad brought us to your breeder's house to look at the last batch of puppy's with no intention of getting another pup. When I saw your big beautiful brown eyes, I knew I had to have you, so I begged mom and dad to take you home. Surprised, the said yes and soon after that we were on the way home. You cried the whole way home, which broke my heart. When we got home, I knew I was going to give you the best life I could. I hope you feel that I did a good job doing that. We used to hike a lot before you and Axl got too old. I remember seeing you run and play, looking so happy. I miss your goofy smile more than I can describe. As you got older, you still kept that young puppy attitude and Before Axl passed, I thought you'd always be that young puppy trapped in an old dog body. After Axl passed, something changed in you. You couldn't get comfortable anywhere and would just restlessly pace and pant. Towards the end of your life, you even lost your love for walking. I love you so much, my sweet lady, and I'm sorry we didn't end your suffering earlier.
