Memories of Peanut Ables
Peanut came into my life as a puppy very unexpectedly. I was going to Ohio from Tennessee to pick up Maggie his sister from my brother in law's litter that we had chosen. From the moment I laid my eyes on Peanut, I knew he was coming home with me also. I fell in love with him even though he was the runt of the litter. This was a decision I have never regretted, he gave us many years of joy and also worry. He tended to get into things like sneaking out of the yard, getting cut by fence, and even survived getting bit by a copperhead snake. He had many fur-babies in our family including his sister Maggie (lab), Lucy (Yorkie) and brother Diego (German Shepherd). They have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge before him, so I know they are waiting for him. As well as his many cousins including Molly, Dusty, Callie, Alex and the rest of them. My greatest joy is knowing they are all together with his mom and other brothers and sisters running around having a wonderful time. My baby is no longer in pain! My heart is broken, and I miss his love and his beautiful face, but I am grateful for all the years he was with us. I will treasure all the memories we made together.
P.S. You trained Sassy and Suzie well, they wake us early in the morning for food and yell at us until we get up.
