Peaches's Rainbow Residency

Memories of Peaches

2/13/10 Little Peach Cobbler, our Cupcake, Dreamy Creamy, Girly-girl, Ermine girl, Snow Queen and Peachy-Keeno-Cobbler-WOW. Aunt Bonnie called you Le Peche de Oswego. You were our first Liver Nose, and you had tiny little Chiclets. Although we knew your illness was terminal, we didn't expect to let you go so suddenly. But overnight you became dramatically worse, and we couldn't bear to let you suffer any longer. It tears our hearts to pieces to see your bed and remember how precious you were. We still look to see you on the corner of the couch. We like to remember the happy things...how you played with Cubbie before you became ill, how you did "Girl Gone Wild" when you were happy about something (usually an extra special treat) and kicked your legs back when we finished brushing you, running with Kendall and Cubbie along the fence, your cute little bark, your beautiful eyes and powder puff tail, the way you tugged on the bottom of our shirts or shorts when we prepared your cookie monster bowls, the way you leaned into us when we held you...Peaches, the memories are endless. The morning you started your journey to Rainbow Bridge five Canada geese flew by the patio door as Daddy held you...it was Rocky, Annie, Daisy, Sugar Bear and your beloved Blackhawk assuring you that they would be watching for you. Rocky knew you would understand the meaning of the geese. Later that day after you started your journey two huge flocks of geese flew directly over our heads low to the ground as we were talking about you. We then knew you had made it to the Bridge. You will be sorely missed but always loved, little Peach Pie. We will watch for your star at night. Sweet dreams, little girl. 2/8/11 Has it really been a year? A whole year? We can still hear your bark and see you at the sidelight giving people heck for having the nerve to walk by our house. Cubbie is doing well but hasn't been the same since he lost his soulmate. Halloween just wasn't the same without you, especially for Cubbie. There are so many things that remind us of you, and we can't describe how much we miss you. The stars are a little brighter with you at the Bridge, and we send our love every day. Sweet dreams, Cupcake.

Please also visit Annie, Blackhawk, Daisy, Murphy, Rocky and Sugar Bear.
