Memories of Joey

We were blessed to share our life for 17 years with our Joey. From a tiny fluffy cottonball he grew into our strong protector and companion. So smart, so happy, and so loving. Joey loved the snow, he loved singing, he loved his cats, and he loved us. I don't believe that God gives us pets to own or to keep, but rather to teach us compassion and unconditional love. Joey loved, because that is what he received...love. From me, my children, my family, and my friends. Though I knew our days together were drawing to a close, I never imagined the depth of pain and sorrow my heart would feel until that day arrived. Memories will become happier, and this sadness will become less and less...I know, because Joey would want us to remember him with a smile not a tear. So, Joey's favorite things - popcorn, snausages, bacon, ice cream, snow (the higher and deeper the better to plow through), singing, going anywhere we were going, visiting GeeGee, his red bean bag, having his ears rubbed, playing on the splish and splash, and catching bubbles with his nose. Go sing loudly in the clouds sweet boy, and go play with Bubba and Sarah - I am sure they welcomed you with open paws. We love you with all our hearts, we miss you with all our tears, and we will never forget the love and joy you brought to our lives. Good boy. Love, Lyndee, Bradley, Lily, and Babs
